Just ease up on the spinach a bit!

Arthur Jones measured Arnie at 19-1/2" cold. I guess I could imagine them getting to 21", maybe 22", pumped.

Wait, you either believe Arthur Jones, or you don’t. I think anyone who looks at those pics and thinks his arms are less than 20" has some mental issues. It makes me question the measuring ability of Arthur Jones, not question Arnold’s claims.

I’m all the way with X on this one. Arnold reported his arms as 22 1/4 in Muscle & Fitness.

I’ve seen Prof X’s arm pic, his are easily 20 inches… probably cold. Mine are around 19 cold and 20 pumped. I’m surprised there arn’t more 20’s and 21’s on this thread. 16-18 is about average size of guys who workout seriously. Most of the bigger guys are usually between 18-21.

Read my post. I just said I believe Arnold’s arms to be 21" or 22" in those pics. You do know the difference between “cold” and “pumped” don’t you?

Come on, man. Muscle & Fitness?! Those cats lie about everything else in that rag, why not their arm size?

Then that means Arthur Jones was wrong when he implied that Arnold’s were no bigger than just over 19". His beliefs aren’t exactly a secret in the training community. I have read some of his statements as well and also cried bullshit when he claimed that Sergio Oliva’s arms were that small.

I doubt most of these guys were walking around with tape measures at all times, but there are some things we know (as they are commonly accepted) in bodybuilding. One of those is that leroy Colbert was the first man credited with EVER having arms that measured 21". Considering Arnold’s arms look even larger than his ever did, why would I think Arnold’s arms would measure over 2 inches LESS than his in peak condition?

6ft
18.75inch cold

No, it means two things:

  1. Jones measured Arnie’s arms cold, as opposed to the pics on the last page which would deifinitely be pumped.

  2. You’re not paying attention, otherwise you wouldn’t keep coming back with same wrong assumptions.

It would seem to be you making assumptions. My arms measure 20.5" cold. I don’t know anyone who gains 2" or more just from a pump when training and that includes people with arms close to 20". Most of what people see is 1/2 to a full inch at the most.

No, I still don’t believe Arthur Jones because his numbers are too off. You are basically claiming that Arnold’s arms were barely over 19" when cold, but blew the hell up over 2-3" when he trained them. That’s retarded. Someone in the gym long enough would know that.

Totally agree. A two inch pump is ridiculous. Simon you appear foolish here.

My arms are the same circumference as my dick.

It’s a blessing a curse at the same time…

Sorry to hear that guys! There are other things in life I am sure you can be proud of.

Eh, I was just trying to be agreeable with someone. The fact is I don’t believe they’re 21" or 22". Maximum 1/2" pump you say? I guess that makes his arms about 20". I can buy that.

If I buy that, however, that means there’s a lot of LMFs around here. No surprise with that.

Too off from what?! A born BSer’s personal statements to a bodybuilding rag?! You’ve gotta be kidding me. Now THAT’S retarded.

With that in mind, I guess it shouldn’t surprise me that someone who thinks most men are walking around with 15+" arms, has his perceptions skewed enough to believe in 22-1/4" arms on Arnold.

I’m looking at my 25" thighs right now and I know in my heart of hearts you’re wrong.
