Granted I know as little as anyone else, but I have reservations about bringing something like that into the fray. From the information out there the guy seems like a paranoid schizo or something, and I doubt that something Palin said would be the impetus for this. However, I doubt that we’ll see her “targeting” anyone in the future.
I think we have to hold the rhetoric suspect.
Good for the goose.

“Congress woman Gifford is dead to me”

Of course, Kos is scrubbing it from the site.

Or this one? Since you think “targeting” amounts to inciting violence…

“Who to primary? Well, I’d argue that we can narrow the target list by looking at those Democrats who sold out the Constitution last week. I’ve bolded members of the Blue Dogs for added emphasis.”

Gifford’s name is there.

I did not read any of those sites TOO WELL , but i have never heard of them either . I think everyone has heard of Glen Beck , Rush Limpdick , Sara Palin and Faux news an obscure site that no one has heard of will never equate to the power the right wing has put into swirling nutjobery.

If I did miss something on that level ,please point it out
You’re saying you’ve never heard of dailykos? I’m calling bullshit on that.

How about Dear leader telling his people “If they bring a knife, we bring a gun” or “get in their face, punch back twice as hard” or telling latino voters to “punish their enemies”

Have you never heard of Barack Obama either?

I have at least 10 people waiting for trial for murder, most of them though killed other bangers or dealers. This guy killed 6 innocent people, including a child and that is where the inmates draw the line. When a child is involved it doesn’t matter how big of a scumbag you are that person is worse in the mind of the inmates.

with that being said I don’t like the idea of inmate justice, its just writing a wrong with another

you said something about katie curic (sp?) earlier, but that is a poor comparison. Limbaugh, etc arent on primetime on a major network. Why? How can you (or anyone else) act like the absolute hatred of left vs right wing has nothing at all to do with this? Didn’t Palin recently release an ad with gunsights on a bunch of democratic districts, including this very one?

I couldn’t give a fuck about the left or the right, but it seems obvious to me that the absolutely appalling behavior of right and left wing pundits leads DIRECTLY to a tragedy like this. No one is trying to turn it into some kind of left/right debate - only pointing out what the OBVIOUS cause of something like this is.

If we do not address this, and start making people accountable for the incendiary hate speech that flows from both sides on a fucking DAILY BASIS…well lets just say you can expect a lot more of this sick shit.

A 9 year old girl died - who gives a fuck about the goddamned politics? But this country needs to get its collective head out of its collective ass and start seeing the consequences of this ridiculous behavior…
I think you are shooting flies with an elephant gun here. The kid was beyond disturbed, this isn’t about speech from the left or right. He checked out of reality and flew off the handle. Unbelievably horrible yes, but this kid’s filter was either broken or missing. He lost a grip on what is right and wrong. Hate is a natural human emotion by the way, acting on it is a whole other Oprah.

When you are dealing with billions of people there are going to be many with broken minds. When people make absurd claims there are going to be many that believe these absurd claims.

I personally think it to be absurd to think it a good thing to kill illegal immigrants as they cross the border. Besides being MORALLY REPULSIVE the point of an American citizen crossing and getting killed and suing for a quadrillion dollars, it is also a bad business decision.
We are not dealing with many broken minds, just one in this specific situation.

It’s already happened. Olbermann had a shitload of thinly veiled references to the Tea Party last night. If I was on my A game, I would’ve counted how many times they got mentioned.

Oh, and if this couldn’t any worse, guess what church is planning on a road trip to AZ.

I love inmate justice. I love the idea that a man can get royally fucked up for reaching across another man’s tray in the chow hall. I like that they will police themselves, in most of the time what I call a more truthful implementation of justice than a court would ever impose.

The level of courtesy and respect in those places is so high, you have no choice but to watch where you step and tread lightly. You see, there used to be a time when people didn’t act like fools because there was a consequence. You see people in society acting horribly, talking shit, stealing things, lying, cheating, etc. You know as well as I do what happens if you do that in the joint. You sign your own death warrant.

This guy will be PC’d up for the rest of his life most likely, but they can still get him. Whether the guard gets paid off to look the other way when the trustee brings him his food while in the hole, or some other way. He will get his, this kid is a walking corpse.

I agree. I tried not to frame it in the context of stricter gun control. More wondering if it was provided to him, or if it was improperly stored at home. Reports were that he lived with his parents.
The gun was legally bought and registered in his name.
