What? How can an official NOT make that call? He ran right through the holder.

Yeah, I saw the replay. He ran him over. And it wasn’t roughing the kicker. All in all, it was a horrible game on both sides concerning the number of penalties. Plus, arizona was playing really sloppy in the first half. And Pittsburgh was getting a lot of penalties in the second half.

haha He tripped and fell into him! That was probably the least intentional ‘roughing the kicker’ I’ve ever seen. Apparently you’re supposed to just counteract physics when you’re tripped and aim yourself somewhere else.
Superman could have pulled it off. Maybe Floyd Mayweather. That’s it.
Ridiculous
it was kinda of sad how close it was.
i was hoping the Steelers were up 2 touchdowns by halftime.

First, it was roughing the holder, not the kicker. Yes he tripped and was off balance, but the penalty was a blatant. He ran right through the holder with no attempt to pull up. And don’t try to tell me a quality, NFL level football player couldn’t pull up from that.
A quality replay can been seen here:

Please. You’re the only person I’ve heard who’s even questioned the call. He was tripped forward for about seven steps, and just plowed right into the kicker.
It’s funny, for a guy who can leap over a 66 inch pole, he just can’t seem to get out of the way of the goshdarned placeholder.
And for the record - The game was good, but the mere fact that the Cardinals kept the game as close as they did was more of a testament of conservative playcalling and laziness by the Steelers opposed to the Cardinals playing well.

This game was a lot closer than I expected. I thought and hoped that it would be over after 3 quarters. Instead it was the most exciting football game I’ve ever seen.
The Cards played their asses off, props to them. Fitzgerald is all that and then some. What a playmaker. Kurt Warner simply CAN’T retire. He is up there with Brady and Manning as the top passer in the league. He’s also a class act. I can’t remember ever seeing a player accept defeat so gracefully.
cardinals suck, they shouldn’t have been in the playoffs.
a team that got beat 47-7 at the end of the year by a team that had a better record shouldn’t have gone that far and they deserved to get beat.

I wish my team would suck year in and out as bad as the Cardinals did this year. The came a play or two away from being the Superbowl champs. If a team plays that horribly every year, they’re going to accidentally be champs a couple times. Pretty shitty, huh?
if the cards played a little cleaner and there was not so many holding violations I think they would have taken it.
that and the lucky TD at the end is what doomed them.
thye even came back after that early 100 yard return.
I am dissapointed this game went how it did.
but I think next year has good promise, they know what not to do now

Why on earth didn’t they review Kurt Warner’s throw as a fumble vs. incomplete pass? They’re supposed to review everything with less than 2 minutes right? It was pretty similar to what happened earlier in the game… right?
Because the game was fixed?’
They threw AZ a bone with the safety because it was absolutely blatant, and not calling it was a crime. But that roughing the kicker penalty was the biggest bullshit since all the holding calls in the Seattle super bowl[/quote]
I agree on the fix. Alot of those penalties were pure BS. The refs tried to even it up in the second half but too little too late.
