Gamblers like the Steelers (-7) over the Cards.
And it actually opened at -6.5
The SB is always the most heavily wagered event of the year and sharp bettors (professionals) are very aware of all the square (public) money that inevitably comes in.
So if you’re looking to value-bet ARI (and you should be) go ahead and keep waiting for more of the Steeler Nation and casual fan’s money to come in. With any luck, you’ll end up with a very live dog catching 7.5 points.

I don’t think it will move off of seven. I would be real surprised if it did. In fact, it’s more likely to come back down to 6.5 in a few days. Zona’s too hot, and after people start breaking down the game and giving “tips”, more money will be put on Arizona toward the end.

Cards are DOMINATING people in the playoffs, thats what wins championships. Pittsburg is going to come into this game Scared. They have the best D because they played shitty offenses all season long. The cards are a damn good offense and their D is playing possessed right now. They have had a pretty solid D all season, they make big plays but also let up some big plays. It seems the D is really jelling right now and making the big plays without letting up too many of them big ones.
Shitty offenses? Like the Cowboys, Giants, Eagles, Pats, Chargers, Colts, Titans, and Texans? Even Baltimore’s O puts up points when they aren’t playing us or Tennessee. It’s incredible when a team goes 12-4 and leads the league in total and scoring d through one of the most difficult schedules in NFL history and someone says that their defensive stats are padded. Give me a fucking break.
It is going to be a good game, but if I have to pick a team to fear, it’s going to be Pittsburgh.
I hate how nobody is giving the Cardinals any credit for beating teams they were suppose to lose to. It doesn’t matter what you do in the regular season, but what you do in the post season.
I know this is a different sport, but remember the other Cardinals team in St. Louis. They had the fewest regular season wins to win the World Series. It’s all about how they are playing at the moment.
It’s nice to see a west coast team make it.
I think the spread is too high and i think the game should be close and come down to the last play. Any Steelers homers who think this is going to be a blowout should pull their head out of their ass. Remember Ken Whisenhunt was the O-Coordinator for the Steelers before he was promoted to the Cardinals.
If the Chargers can put up 24 points against the Steelers D in their own house, then i think the Cardinals can put up more since they have a better offense.
alright i am a steelers fan but i knew the cards were gonna roll over philly. arizonas reciving core is probably the best in the NFL . but they are about to face a hard hitting defense in pittsburgh that is number two against the pass and number one against the run. they use the time of possession to win the game hence the best D in the league. the cards dont got a running game to save their lives so they are going to have to throw and the steelers secondary is going to eat kurt warner apart. i give the cards credit for making it to the super bowl but offense only wins football games defense wins championships.
Didn’t the Cardinals defense basically shut down Carolina which was one of the best running teams in the league and cause 5 turnovers? Sounds like a defensive statement game to me.
look at what they have done, they have really showed up! I lived in AZ for years and know this franchise all to well! I really thought they were forever cursed! I am amazed at how TOUGH they are playing, and clicked at the right time thats what the playoffs are about!!! hitting stride in the playoffs!

I thought it was 6 turnovers. And that’s the primary reason Carolina didn’t run the ball. They were playing from behind the majority of the game.

Nice game by the Cardinals. It was a great game to watch.
However, I don’t care what your religious convictions are, I am sick of Kurt Warner’s (or any other players’)post-game GEEZUS drivel. Listening to Kurt, one would believe that the purported Son of God has taken time off from dealing with famine, war, ecological devastation, etc. to look after the Arizona Cardinals football team. Well, He can multi-task, I suppose, nonetheless, I think it is silly.
Speaking of God, I hope he is looking after the Baltimore Ravens player who was hurt yesterday. Any update on his condition?
God mustve helped them because its the only way they couldve made it to the fucking playoffs let alone superbowl.[/quote]
The cardinals are playing lights out. They beat up on Atlanta, STOMPED Carolina at home where they were previously unbeaten, then proceeded to embarass the Eagles who were disputably the hottest team in the league. What more do they have to do? When they beat a very mediocre and BORING Steelers who has only faced a WEAK San Diego team and an inept Baltimore squad headed by a rookie who finally played like a rookie, will you whine about how they suck then as well?

Who would’ve ever thought you and I would disagree about anything. Springsteen bores the hell outta me.
As for the game, Az looks nervous and shaky. Warner just committed what has to be one of the top 5 bonehead plays in superbowl history. What could have been a halftime lead is now a 10 point hole.
Steelers!! That last catch by Holmes was insane. I like it when superbowl games come down to the last quarter. But all of the penalties were kind of embarrassing for both teams. Also, I called it… Holmes for MVP.
Why on earth didn’t they review Kurt Warner’s throw as a fumble vs. incomplete pass? They’re supposed to review everything with less than 2 minutes right? It was pretty similar to what happened earlier in the game… right?

Because the game was fixed?’
They threw AZ a bone with the safety because it was absolutely blatant, and not calling it was a crime. But that roughing the kicker penalty was the biggest bullshit since all the holding calls in the Seattle super bowl
