Are Your Dogs Spoiled?

Eh, I can see some blue heeler resemblance. The dog I posted last had a blue heeler mother.[/quote]

I think for sure she has some in her but I haven’t seen another heeler with her coloring. Turns out mini blue heeler isn’t even a real breed and a lot of people are pissed that people breed their heelers that way. I like her though, super super lazy.

Must not have much blue heeler at all! lol

Cuuuuute.

I never mentioned Dani’s adventure on the weekend. We took her walking in the conservation area and Frank left the rear window almost all the way down when we were leaving. She must have caught sight of a deer because she was through the window like a rocket. I didn’t even see which way she went for a couple of minutes.

She came back quickly enough when she lost the deer.

She does things that show she had it really rough before we got her. Every once in a while she’ll get riled up and then kind of realize what she’s doing and then sulk away. It’s pretty sad, but she seems to be improving slowly, we’ve had her for a little over a year now.

Not sure about spoiled, but she sure does put up with a lot of shit

This little shitzu of my wife’s and my cocker spaniel were the first breed dog I had. Most of my dogs growing up were dogs I found that had gotten lost. Mom got really tired of me bringing home dogs and feeding them. At one point I had like six. Mostly Catahoula, Heeler, or Lab mixes. Labs have always been my favorites.

I have a pit bull mutt. Only 10 months old. Saved him from a low life who beat the shit out of him. Only had him for two months but I love the little guy. He loves to sleep upside down on the comfiest chair in the house. Will post pic later.

Sorry to hyjack. I had a miniture dash hound, my daughter’s dog. The neihbor’s two shepards killed it yesterday (Wed.) while I was posting here, believeit or not. There’s a post where I said I gotta go dogs are fighting. I was going to start my own thread about it, than I saw this one. It was a cute little thing only about 8 lbs, scared of it’s own shadow. I ended up calling the cops, and buddy got charged, one of the dogs got taken to be put down. The crazzy part is that a little over a year ago same two dogs kicked the shit out the same dash hound. It cost me $1600 to keep him alive ( 200 stitches) and the cops wouldn’t do anything that time.

Buddy promised to keep his dogs caged or muzzeled, thats the reason he got charged this time, because he didn’t. Thing is my 6yr daughter wacthed the whole thing happen, right in front of her. I’m debating suing the guy it’s just not my style.

What would suing him accomplish? I understand your frustration but what would you be hoping to get? Money for another dog, his second dog taken away and put down, “emotional restitution”? I could actually see the first two as if he had much decency he would have at least offered to pay for the dog. Earlier this year I had to kill my neighbors Catahoula as it was attacking my aunt’s dachshund. The little dog died anyway but I think my neighbor offered to pay her for the dog and they got everything settled away.

I assume this happened on your property? Because I have 2.5 acres closed in with an electric fence and if someone’s dog wanders on my property and gets killed that’s not my problem nor my fault.

My great aunt lives with me and brought a daschund with her. Meanest fuckig dog I’ve ever met. Snaps at me and has bitten her bad twice… She treats it like a kid. He’s also dumb as a box of rocks. He’s been torn into twice by my oldest Pitt. Both Pitts jumped on him two days ago and be almost died. 55 stitches and as drains an tubes in him. First time he bit my aunt and oldest Pitt said no sir. Second time he tried to bite me because he had a piece of paper and I attempted to take it from him. He’s snapped at every single person who has ever met him.

I’ve voted to kill him multiple times, but she won’t hear of it.

Yeah, I actually took for granted that it was on his property. Probably should have asked that first.

When I was doing research on doberman’s I found that daschunds are among the most people aggressive breeds, if not the most.

My fullhouse Boston Terrier Reggie (42lbs)

My best friend and all I could ever want in a dog, fiercely loyal, fearless, easygoing, smart and welcoming…extremely in tune with my feelings.

Im gonna lose my shit when he passes

[photo]24592[/photo]

Had a mini dauchsund for 7 years before he had to be put down…an extremely sweet and good natured dog, a bit of a whiner but not a mean bone in his body I loved that hot dog. The only thing he was aggressive about was my newborn daughter which I appreciated.

Don’t blame the breed blame the owner.

I completely blame the owner in the instance I described.

That seems like it is always the issue…you will get the douche tough guy type around my area who wants a pit and has no idea how to control him/her

Or the kind of weird older lady who never had kids and treats her Pomeranian as a child / accessory and turns into a little piece of shit
