Are you Trypophobic?

That site isn’t bad, its just trying too hard to gross you out. Tub girl? Really?

Maybe because I have been on documentingReality for the past 4 years but the only thing that bothers me is when innocents get caught up in events out of their control.

You’ll also learn why it is a very bad idea to give aid to Syria.

You’ll have to remind me to never email you that picture of me eating a cockroach when I was in Thailand!

Yeah, thanks, rrjc, I’ll certainly do that.

I’ll also remember not to eat or drink from the same tableware as you if we hang out.

If you’ll excuse me now , I need to go dislodge the accumulated stopper of projectile vomit from my throat before I choke to death.

You guys are real jackals. You sniff out somebody’s weakness and you attack.

Ah don’t worry about those guys, they’re just a bunch of cockroaches.

I guess their soul was destroyed years ago? I’m not going to look a the “offended” section. I’ve seen things that cannot be unseen… I do not wish to see even worse things.
They thrive on it, just look at Derek and his morbid fatty pics, he feeds (pun intended) on the disgust.
Over 20 years of medicine, nothing bothers me.
I have seen things that cannot be unseen in real life.

Once had a morbidly obese women brought in to the ER. She had been in bed for years, over the past month to 6 weeks, she had her lower legs hanging over the end of the bedrail. Both her feet and mid calf had necrosed due to decrease circulation issues, roaches and maggots had embedded in her feet and calves.

Envy you, I do not.

Even the thought of Myiasis gives me the jeebies. Ever see Noma? That shit is mind-blowing.

Also, just for funsies, here’s some Echinococcosis for y’all. Practically pulls a balloon out of her brain. Very NSFW (Unless you’re Derek).

They will probably pull this but that was a load off her mind.

Surgery is clean, trauma is not, nothing like seeing dirt and trash in open wounds.

Yeah, I’m still trying to gently trial and error the border between what will get through and what won’t.

Sometimes I like to watch muted surgery videos with 80’s music playing on the background. I find “Sledgehammer” by Peter Gabriel goes really well with that one in particular. Makes it just a smidgen easier to sit through.

If some body actually delivers on this I will probably claw my own eyes out.

Just maggots I could handle…

See, that did not bother me one bit. All I could think of what how much I wanted to pop it.

Now, if roaches had come pouring out of her head when they cut it open my wife would probably find me curled up in the fetal position pushed into a corner somewhere, babbling about E.G. Marshall and Creepshow.

Well isn’t that just too bad.

You know I’m just messing with you, Derek.

I really do believe you and I really, really, really, really, really do not want to see any evidence that you are indeed honest.

Really.

hahahaahahhahahahahaha.

I wish we had picture phones back then, nothing could show the smell though. Necrotic tissue is about the worst smell in the world.

Besides a GI bleed of course

Jesus Christ Derek… Ever seen this though lol?

My friend was telling me once about this time during his residency when they had a prostitute come in who had a colostomy. She had all kinds of complications… because of the STD’s she’d contracted in the colostomy hole. I wonder how much she was charging the guys for that…

I don’t know if I can resist the temptation of “the offended”. It’s too strong. It’s pulling me in with its dark macabre energy…

Rectal foreign bodies are still my all time favorites. Working ER we had a ton of those.

Thinking back I do remember a lady who had issues with her stoma cause her hubby was poking it, man that was a long time ago.
