Are My Levels Low Enough for TRT?

I haven’t seen his video, but pre-loading syringes is the way to go if you’re injecting. Big needle to draw and load, small (27 ga is nice) to inject. Spend 10 minutes loading and next to no time injecting. I do it because I can only get amps, but it’s nice to always be using a new sharp needle and less risk of contamination.

Yeah I am finding its cutting down time for me now.
Since I’ve been doing it every day im finding I dont feel like im getting the correct dosage.
I have 3ml syringes which I think is making it difficult to tell how much I’m putting in and how much is injecting into me because of the left over oil in the needle. It seemed almost better doing it every 3.5 days cuz than I’d just go a bit past the 1/2ml part of the syringe and be ok.

Throw those 3ml ones in the trash. Buy .5 or 1cc 1 piece insulin syringes online or at the pharmacy. Locally they are like $2 for a 10 pack. Online $15-20 for 100. Basically zero waste. Just what’s left in the actual metal needle which probably couldnt even be measured. There is no dead space at all.

You can also use the airlock technique which works great. Leave about 0.1ml of air between the oil and the plunger. The air will push every drop of oil out. I’ve been doing it this way for almost 6 months with zero issues and zero waste.

I’ll try the airlock and new syringes see if that works.

I’m getting a bit worried my face and neck is quite red and getting headaches alot the last 4 days. Guessing it’s from the trt, im feeling bit off too besides that.

How long does it take for trt to affect your hematocrit levels? Not sure if that’s even the cause though.

12 months levels will find a new balance.

If the levels are really high though wouldnt you need to give blood as a “treatment” for high levels? I thought it wouldnt balance itself out naturally?

How long have you been on TRT. I started shutting down on like day 3 and felt like i was mentally handicapped (only way to describe it)for like a week and a half. My levels were double digits though and LH was basically zeroed out before TRT, so I never had the honeymoon faze. Most guys take a couple weeks i think to start shutting down. That may be what you are feeling.

You don’t need to concern yourself with higher levels of hematocrit and hemoglobin. This is considered erythrocytosis and is totally normal when taking exogenous testosterone. No need to donate blood.

Here’s a short video that explains it:

Well Originally I took 100mg dose once per week for only 2 weeks and felt great. Than I decided to try a natural approach before committing to TRT but only for 2 and a half weeks Haha. Got frustrated cuz libido was shit and causing more issues with the GF.
I started 1 week ago wednesday with 50mg thinking I would do it twice a week but saturday I decided to do the every day routine. Maybe I’m feeling messed up because I’m all over the place with dosing right now I duno.
Saturday the headaches started and havent stopped and is now Wednesday. I’m also feeling flushed and just kinda weird mentally, also frequently tired throughout the day.

If you expect to just take a few injections and start to reap the benefits of TRT, think again. You’re in it for the long haul. It will take weeks and possibly months until you really start seeing the benefits and that is AFTER you get your levels up. It’s not like flicking on a light switch. The problem with men is the don’t give it the time to work, get frustrated, and keep making changes to their protocol. You need to commit to a protocol, give it at least 6 weeks minimum, and then assess.

Now you are injecting smaller doses and it will take longer to build up in your system, at least you have more testosterone every day and going to take time to build up in your system. If by 6 weeks your levels are optimal for you, you will start noticing significant improvements in the next 3-6 months with continuing improvements 12 months and beyond.

Daily for me was without fluctuations, it was a smooth sailing after the first week.

I started every other day IM, then switched to ED sub Q on only week 2 of TRT, now I am on the beginning of week 4. I was wondering myself if I jumped over too quick to this as the levels are still building in my system. Is dosing and frequency important on the first 6 weeks?

Everytime you make a change you start the whole process of waiting 6 weeks all over again. It doesn’t matter if you been on TRT for a week or 10 years, changes induce fluctuations.

Seriously? had no idea lol. Well I have been on ED Sub Q for two weeks, so I guess I am further behind than I want to be. But doesn’t the exogenous testosterone build in the system at an equal rate regardless of dosing schedule for the first 6 weeks due to the long kick in time of Test Cyp, once my levels are saturated more? Either way I am sticking to this schedule for the long term.

You changed the dosage and forced your body to adapt, this caused the instability in levels. Imagine you find out in 3 months you do not like SQ injections and IM makes you feel better and now it’s as if you just started TRT all over again.

The HPTA is a strange animal.

Well alright then resetting my system would have been inevitable then regardless of when I did it. So does that mean that I will not get any effects from my TRT until 6 weeks after I switched the protocol I did? Also for someone on longer term TRT that switches protocols, is it basically like they aren’t receiving any effects from treatment from that initial first 6 weeks of rotating the protocol? So going six weeks where you lower your testosterone baseline dramatically and before the new protocol kicks in and brings it back to optimal levels.

No i do understand it takes time and thats fine with me, however what i dont quite understand is that when i took the first 2 doses the very first time i felt great (IM). waking up in the morning earlier than my alarm feeling clear headed all day for 2 weeks and then when i stopped and started again (SQ) and a few days in im getting bad headaches, face and neck are flushing kinda feels like there is a pressure of some sort on my neck, almost what it felt like when i took cialis and viagra.

It could be anxiety i dont know, but my headaches are coming from the back of my neck and the front left side under my eye. Seem to notice it start 4 hours after my injections and thats when the flushing and everything starts too.
I am also not clear headed anymore and probably worse than i was before trt i feel like im in a haze all day. Its kinda freakin me out and its making me hesitant on taking my injection tomorrow.

Anyways i dont mean to keep crying about my symptoms lol although i do appreciate thoughts and opinions.

It sounds like your body prefered the IM vs the SQ, the SQ seems to create more symptoms. The SQ for me was exactly as you describe and changed course immediately and never looked back.
