I am a fan.
The question is worded much different than cancer survival is measured.
In 2022 it was recorded that over the last decade:
- 69% of survivors have lived 5+ years since their diagnosis
- 47% of survivors have lived 10+ years since their diagnosis
- 18% of survivors have lived 20+ years since their diagnosis
Just keep in mind no one survives old age. Everyone dies (survival rate is zero.)
Indeed. If I’m not mistaken, the highest incidence of cancer (as well as other illness) is in general 60 years of age.
It’s uncool to comment on body parts.
What, no booby chicks?
When my son was eleven he told me, “Dad, we are all dying. Some of us are just on different schedules.”
Long feet… picture makes me itch
They had those too! I ain’t boobist.

That sums up my first 27 years quite well.
Bwahahaha…Are you fucking delusional? Is this their definition of survival? You know if you live for 5 years, you are a survivor. Die the day after 5 years they are considered a survivor. FOH.
No doubt. But living while suffering through many years of your life before you die is unnecessary and down right evil if it’s done on purpose for more profits. Our grotesque “healthcare” system.at work. Gotta just love end-stage capitalism. More money and fuck the consequences.
Are you a fucking idiot? (That’s rhetorical). They would have died a lot sooner than 5 years if the cancer was allowed to spread.
Also, there is dark data missing here. What are the average ages in each group of those statistics? That has lot to do with their validity.
Most will take five more years over five more months (since you can’t do math that’s 12x more time).
Is that your justification for making them suffer with the chemo and radiation. All the while a shitload of money is made off of the disease they became afflicted with.
With the prolonged amount of suffering they will do, I don’t believe the number is as high as you think.
Nobody is making them suffer. Anyone can refuse treatment and die faster if they so choose. Happens all the time.
My aunt went through chemo, radiation and a double mastectomy in her 40s. Yeah it sucked, yeah it was hard. But she is still around living a happy life now and able to see her grandchild born just last year.
She could have been a pussy like you and given up (clearly what you would choose) but decided to fight. And guess what, the treatment worked like it does much of the time nowadays.
Would you really tell a 20 something or child with cancer not to fight it and get a shot at a full life.
What’s your excuse for being a dumbass?
I don’t have to believe it. It’s data. It’s all there in black and white.
Is life harder after cancer? Undoubtedly yes. Is it worse than being dead? The answer for most is no, or there would be a lot of cancer survivors (years on, not after diagnosis) committing suicide at a rate much higher than the general population.
Pretty sure I have gotten dumberer from reading this thread.
Who makes anyone suffer through that stuff?
No country’s healthcare system does a shining job treating cancer patients. It is a heart-wrenching burden of love for mankind when they are in dire despair.
