Finaly got my wife to upload the pics she took last month, anyway, i’m not going to add comments to each pic, might screw somthing up, I’ll just do it here.

#1,The first, and third pic are of the hanging squat rack I welded up from an old bed frame. I wanted to be able to still pull my car into the garage for doing work, i’ve squatted 405 out it so far with no problems, but i aslo have a set of 2x4s cut, to jam in between the floor, and hooks when the weight starts getting heavier.

#2 The second pic is my set up for doing face pulls, just a hook in the wall, and a 4ft tow strap, with a hoop stitched in each end, great training tool, I use this strap for lots of other things as well, like T bar rows, and curls with a KB

#3 The forth pic is what I have been refering to as a Rev bench in my log i do 20 of these between every set of benches. I found the pipe in my basement, it’s part of a post, the other half is mounted in ceiling for pullups. This is also the exact same way I do face pulls without the pipe, everyone should have a hook, and strap somewhere at home and be doing bucket fulls of these face pulls

#4 The fith and sixth pic are my Fallout + French press I do in my log, love these, i’d already done a boatload the day she came out with the camera, and i couldn’t hold myself totaly planked anymore, but I usually do, huge tricep pump, and the next day your abs are wrecked, good combo, my goal with these is to have my feet up on a bench eventually, body paralle with the floor. I saw a clip of Scott Atkins doing these, training for the movie Undisputed ''Boyko" rocks, tricep’s are my best body part, and these are all I do, besides pressing these are an awesome exercises, I like when I can train more than on e body part at a time. Latter

Those French presses look like they would be brutal

Like any exercise you have to start with the bar set higher, and then lower it slowly over time. Since the pic i’ve lowered the bar another 2inches, to about mid thigh, but i think origanly it was above my belt level. I have been doing these for years with a fixed bar, like a railing or such. To be honest this is really an old jail exercise, guys do these with they’re hands on the bunk, or table, but you don’t get any abs that way. Anyway nothing i’ve found works your long head of the tri’s like these, wheather it’s off a fixed bar, or a TRX set up like I use. Latter

todays workout oct 15/13
squats
365x5x4 my elbow flared up on first heavy set, a line of pain shoots down through my forearm, and up through my bicep, radiating from my inner elbow, and it effected my following bench workout
bench—Rev bench
135x10-----mex20
225x10-----mex20
275x3------mex20 This is where I had to stop benching, from pain
225x22----mex20 I hit a PR, for high reps anyway, never got over 17 berfore, I’ll take it
Dips—latterals-----Rev bench
mex20----20x20----mex20
mex20----30x20----mex20
mex20----30x20-----mex20 Switched to reg face pulls
mex20----20x25----mex20
mex20-----20x30----mex20

I don’t know what i’m going to do about this forearm, but I have to make it atleast one more week, till this cycles over. The plan a week from this Sun is to hit 405x6x3, then take some time before the next cycle, so I might have to drop or back off on bench, and alter my squat form, where I keep my hands in close to my shoulders, move my hands out, like I see other PLer’s do. Thats actually how my injury is getting agrivated, then it effects my pressing. Latter

SUPER COOL JAKE!!! Bet they work really well for you.

Hey, Is that a mirror from an old projection tv? If so, you are my brother from another mother! I have a mirror from an old tv behind my power rack! lmao

Nice DIY work.

That is a mirror from an old projection TV, that I thought I could fix, and thats whats left of it. LOL they work well, and weigh nothing, so I don’t have to worry about them falling when the kids are out there. your the only other person I’ve ever heard of having one, or to know what it was, it’s alot of work taking them apart, atleast the one I had. Thanks

I also obviouly have a good sturdy adjustable bench, that didn’t make the pics. they were all taken at the end of a workout, my wife came out with the camera, at thge end of a squat, and clean workout, I was beat, trying to think of what exercises I wasn’t doing a good job describing in my log, that pics would help, thats mostly what all these are. the hanging squat rack I actually came up with on another thread, with the help from a couple poster’s, during a discussion about trying to squat in my garage. Anyway now that I have my wife uploading pics for me, I’m going to aim for a squat vid next, hopefully when i get my 405x6x3 workout, comming up in a week. Nobodys asked but it’s been cold here for awhile, hense the 14 layers. haha later

keep in mind anyone seeing this, that I own almost half a million dollars of state of the art training equipment, and due to legal reasons I’m forced to train at home, instead of at my gym. try and wrap your head around that, but the truth is i’m making better gains, here over the last 6mths, then I was in my fancy gym. It’s also nice when some of my kids come to workout here with me, instead of at the gym as well, although the cold weather has slowed that recently.

All the bars, and DBs are stuff that got replaced at the gym, because of damage, the Oly bar is bent, and the DBs are loose, from being thrown on the floor, whatever, thinking about replacing a cable staion, so I can have one at home

Whole day spent a semiar, in a suit and tie = a bad day normaly, but the little network marketing buisness i got into a year ago, is slowly becoming a better sorce of income than my gym, who would have thunk it. Essential ulitlities, getting myself involved in saving my friends, money on utlities, phone-gas-water-tv-internet, and getting a few pennies every time they pay a bill, and getting a few pennies every time somebody who got into the buisness under me saves they’re friends money, it’s starting to add up.

Whatever, life never seems to suprise me anymore. Still sitting there today, hereing about all the people making millions at the top of the pyramid, and all I can think about is tomorrows squat session. once a meathead, always a meathead. I did ocasionaly get distracted by even frim weightlifting by all the smoken hot women there, wow smoken chicks, dressed in they’re Sundays best. Good day all, and all Money-Women-weights life is good, Latter

Weights on the squat are getting stupid heavy, at this point for me, I’ve been able to add 20lbs a week for last 3 weeks, and I want 405 next week, but I’m running real close to the edge right now, right ham string was pulled today, and on the last rep of the last set, I thought my left eyeball was going to pop out, my nose did start to bleed. i’m going to get 405 next week, and then take a couple steps back, or atleast stay put for a little while on the squat. Mabey spend some time pushing my deadlift hard, and parking my squat, see how I feel after next week. the circut at the end is awesome, i hate finishing a workout, and feeling like I left somthing on the table, when I finish with a circut like this, That dosen’t happen. i’ve blown my load. Latter

Sunday dinner at moma’s house, but thats where I weigh myself every week, last weeks 258, put me in a tail spin. I wasn’t really trying to get that heavy, but without changing my diet at all, this week 252, a little better. It’s in my head, but i’m happy at 250’ so getting up to 260 had me a little worried. Either way i feel the lightest at this weight, i ever have. the heaviest I’ve ever been is 265 at 22 when I came home from working up north in the bush, for a logging company. i wasn’t lifting really then, and I felt really heavy, and slugish. This time around I feel real light on my feet, I ran 5 miles a couple weeks ago, came in at 45 min, this I thought was pretty good for my size.

I honestly feel like I could do back flips, right now, I’m really not feeling heavy. I don’t know hard to explain. Anyway I was thinking about LBM, its pretty interesting, At 27 when I was my strongest, my best total, I was 215-220 at about 10% BF, so it’s interesting to me now, that as I’m closing back in on that strength level, at about 250, and 20% BF. It works out to about the same, I’m roughly carrying the same amount of muscle, and it makes you wonder if bulking is really the way to go. It’s interesting to think about, for me comming back after a long lazy period, I probably started back at 250 and over 30% BF, so I’m not really dieting, just training hard again, eatting cleaner, and letting my body tighten up at whatever weight it wants to settle at, as long as I’m getting stronger.

I know I'm babbeling, but it's interesting to think about, and the fact that I've done this journey a few times now, first time young and lean, (got away from lifting) then went after some lifting while assisted,(got away from lifting) and now older, natural, and bulked up. It's neat to look back and compare, and look at LBM, whatever. Latter
