Ahhh, Widmore. Now we understand his connection: he knows the island has special properties because he’s been there.
But the young woman with the tightly braided hair (Ellie?) holding the gun on Faraday–who does she grow up to become. (Maybe someone’s mother? Are some of the castaways “second generation” island connections?)
And now we know that the woman who spoke to Desmond in his time-skipping sequence is Faraday’s mom, Mrs. Hawking; but why was she in a photo on the desk of a monk at the monastery Des once joined?
If all of this (and more) can truly be wrapped up in this season and the next, I’ll be happy.
