No doubt. We are riding the mining boom, that’s for sure. Hopefully we will change our ways as we watch the U.S. collapse under the weight of it’s social programs. Not sure if this is founded, but surely it will be easier to see the problems coming and mitigate them with such a small population.
Enormous tax reform is also on the books for this coming term or the next, so hopefully that will have a positive outcome as well.
Is there any way in existence though, to curb a welfare state in a representative democracy?
