DUDE! I actually worked out there a couple times with my wife. It was horrible. I’ve never seen this before… but there were MULTIPLE people “working out” in cut off jean shorts. No word of a lie.

I know. It was kinda difficult to keep a straight (no pun intended) face and train seriously the few times I went there as a guest of my brother in law and his wife. It was entertaining nonetheless.

Hillcrest has some pretty good food, to be honest. I stayed in that part of town for roughly 6 months a couple years ago and there definitely were very few dull moments.[/quote]
I gotta give that area props though. The food is, indeed good. Hash House, Mo’s, Saigon, Sushi Deli, etc.
^^ I live in North Park so my wife and I get food in Hillcrest all the time. They have some really good spots. It doesn’t even phase me now.
I will admit it was a little off putting the first time we went to get happy hour and the guy waiter took my woies order and then puts his hand on my back and asked me “so what’ll you have babe?” lol I don’t evern river what I ordered. “Uhhhhh… That!” points to something random on the menu

Whenever I think of Hash House I think about the rosemary forrest they must have out back. Everything is garnished with a full limb of that stuff.
One of the more entertaining spots for me was getting Breakfast at “Brians American Eatery” which is kind of behind the DMV off Washington. A Saturday or Sunday early morning breakfast there is unique. People just wandering in from a night of boozing or what have you, still half dressed in the outfit they had on the night before, and ordering things off the menu like “the hungry bear.”
Yeah Hillcrest is allright in my book. SD wouldn’t be the same city without it.

I like North Park and you’ve got some good places there too. I’m in Mission Hills and we really don’t have much. Hillcrest does have great food including, but not limited to, Burger Lounge. Hash House is good but the fucking wait is just stupid and with a toddler that ain’t happening. They have a sister restaurant down the street though that is just as good but has more “exotic” meats (think wild boar not jean shorts…). There’s a new Vietnamese Taco place somewhere there now that I want to try.

i wanted so bad to have my belt and wrist wraps with me to do deads and hams while i was there… i tell you what though… some hot, hot bitches crawling all over that gym… that was nice to get a little extra Test pumping while getting a set in.

What? The 24hr Fitness gym in Hillcrest? Those might not have been hot “bitches”…if you catch my drift… Not that there’s anything wrong in being attracted to them…if that’s your thing. I don’t judge.

I love burger lounge.
You can call in and put your name in for Hash House if you dont want to sit there and wait. I think the dont accept call in names on sundays?
You’re talking about Tractor Room. They have good food and make nice cocktails there. They also have a ping pong table in the back so if you have to wait in line for a table to open up for brunch you can go out back and play some ping pong. Pretty awesome.

I’m surprised that you didnt take any of them home with you… considering how flattering your description of them is.
