You dont have to call it a fixie. You may call it a road bike with a fixed gear.

the closest shop by me has bikes that start from $360 on up. they are all $360 minimum.

Thats gonna be pretty standard with any decent quality bike. You want cheaper? youre either gonna have to settle for a department store brand or you could go the craigslist rout, which is probably the better idea.
