Do you think you’re in a space right now to make a good decision or a bad decision?
It leads them on, and if you’re in it primarily and initially for sexual escapades, you can very well find yourself in a situation similar to the one you’re in! This is why I asked what you’re looking for: serious relationship with long-term commitment or flings (the latter seeming more attractive than it actually is for many men).
Very scientifical.

Ah, grasshopper. It is intuitive. You have two females. One has nails turned into weapons. One has natural nails. Who is more likely BPD?
I conducted trials with approximately 100 camp followers and strippers, all using the double-blind drunk protocol.
Sending you penicilin and antivirals for Christmas.
Funny thing is she has crazy nails. Like huge, long squared off French tips. I thought they’re trashy as hell, but she ALWAYS has them.
Somehow I dodged all that. Amazes me now. It was probably more dangerous than Afghanistan. I’ve had complete work ups – not so much as a cold sore, ever. Good hygiene, condoms, and I was never one for paying for things – just hung with trashy women.
I actually have a friend who acquired hepatitis and died (liver failure) at 39 from similar behavior.

It is, as noted, scientifical.
So does anyone here have real life experience with Borderline? Or dated one?
Yes. A woman dated a friend of mine for about 10 years, very much like you described your last 3 and I interacted with her extensively through that relationship, and our own that formed through it and sharing many addiction recovery meetings.
She was 100% dysfunctional borderline/hystrionic personality disorder.
I’ve being being flip, but, yes, I really did date some girls over the years who had BPD, one such relationship resulting in a many thousand post thread.
My advice to you is run away. Don’t walk. That’s it.
And also look into yourself. I was going through some bad stuff, and almost certainly was doing reckless things as a result of undiagnosed PTSD. (I avoided treatment to avoid harming a career.) So I was attracted to similarly self-destructive people – and did self-destructive things.
Anyway, once you have run away, figure out what part of you wanted to be with such a fucked up person.
Well I’m glad you were able to bring everything to the forefront. As far as how you’ll feel, and wanting more info on dealing with various mental health stuff, I wish you the best of luck. I hope I helped in some way for you.
If I may add, for general stuff concerning girls and nails, it really just depends on the personality really. I have very long, natural nails that I like to file to claws, but I’m about as docile of a person as they come.

That’s exactly what a psycho would say. Nails don’t lie. I trust @thefourthruffian ‘s research on this topic.
Ha! Shhh! you’re gonna blow my cover!

I have experience with borderlines and endorse the above statement wholeheartedly.

This surprised a laugh out of me.
I messed with gel manicures for a couple of months this past summer, and kept them short (athletic) and rounded with a little square-off. What I was really after were the pretty colors, which I adore. But at the end of the day spending an hour of my life every other week in a nail salon feels like torture, so mine are short-short and unpolished now, because who has time to work and work out and cook and have sex and play outside and etc PLUS fuss endlessly with fingernails?
Toenails are another story, because the polish lasts longer. Cost benefit is more reasonable.

Can you provide some feedback? Are you borderline, or have you dealt with one?
Struggling over here trying not to blame myself for some reason. She’s twisted everything on me… and when I say twisted, I mean things just don’t make any sense.
I’m a therapist.
She has to deal with her mental health before she can be in a good, healthy relationship. You need to figure out why you want to be in a doomed relationship, because you definitely are not going to save or change her. She’ll have to figure that out for herself.

Don’t try to think like a crazy person. There is no internal logic to figure out. Just move on.

Apparently women with borderline personality disorder. Or not a lot going on in their lives and misplaced priorities, which is a related thing.
I’ve been laughing at the nail thing, but, looking around my office at the paralegals and secretaries – the ones who are imminently competent have short nails. The receptionist who was hired to look pretty and greet people but who is dumb as a box of rocks (and who apparently has a dramatic personal life accordingly to my paralegal) has dangerous-looking nails.
For the record, Mrs. Jewbacca periodically bemoans how ugly her nails are, but she is a surgeon, so they have to be super-short. Plus she scrubs with stuff that destroys her nails.
I don’t think anybody has acknowledged how fucking lucky OP is.
Some people have problems that beat them until they have to run away to shelters.
Some people have to get restraining orders against their problems.
Some people never leave their problems because of children or whatever reason, and live with them their entire lives.
Your problem got up and walked its ass out just in time for the holidays.
Normally I’d say you’re “not in a good place for a relationship”, but I don’t think you have any idea what a healthy relationship is or could be, so I’d say just go for it and get this girl out of your head. Maybe try not to fall in love immediately as part of the rebound effect, but having some nice time with someone who isn’t completely off their rocker might help your depression.

Yeah, he nailed it.
