I always wondered if you were the Chris King.
I do 30-60km a day during the summer, love it. We plan to do a 220km drive from my hometown to the capital (Zagreb), I think in one piece but we’ll see…

No, but I did speak to him recently.
And, I’m a big fan of his products.

bad ass. I like the color scheme, too.
I rode today and got my ass kicked. Rode with a lady who races competitively. She cut a good pace and I kept up OK, but it didn’t help that we started with a steep incline. I was toast an hour in.

This is the one for errands around town.

Sexy.
I always thought fixed gear bikes were cool as fuck. I just never had the money to buy one. I was too busy taking off aluminum and putting carbon fiber on my road racer. ![]()

Nice. Is that a 69er? Details dude.

I like it. Fixies seem to be everywhere in Manhattan. It’s a good town for one, nice and flat.

Not a 69’er. I don’t like gimmicks.
It’s a Santa Cruz Nomad 2 – a real trail/freeride bike.

I’m not so sure that’s fixed.
My guess is that it’s a regular 1x1.
Awesome to see all the cyclists! makkun - that is a sweet looking bike!!
When the warmer weather hits I will get off of the spinbike, and get outside.
I’m going to start bike commuting again, but 20 miles a day, 5 days a week again. I’m going to cut it down a little.

Yeah, you’re right.
I still have a thing for fixed gears, though. ![]()

Have you ridden fixed?
I have, mainly on the track, and really don’t have a desire to do so otherwise.
I realize it’s the hip thing in certain crowds, but have never really understood why.
I’d rather ride 1x1 MTB.

I have ridden fixed through town and find it somewhat exhilarating.
It definitely required one’s full attention.
I was racing cat 3 in the mid nineties in Ontario, Canada. These days, mainly because of family committments, I don’t put in as many miles a week as used to. That said, I still make time for shorter intense ( interval, sprint training ) type training.
There is this one group ride I try to tag along to each weekend. There are about 50 - 60 riders and the distance is anywhere from 90 to 120 km. As for the bike, nothing fancy really. I ride an old Rossin Italian road bicycle - ( Genius Tubing )and Campy Chorus components with Mavic wheelset.

Campy still rules.
I’ve tried going back to Dura Ace a few times, as well as trying SRAM, and it just doesn’t measure up.

Red huh?! Pretty sweet. I rode a Heckler for a while. It’s the closest I got to a freeride bike. I’d do it again!
I have about 200 pounds to spend on a mountain bike and suggestions?
I just rode to school today for the first time in months. It took me about 20 minutes to what normally takes me about an hour by bus or subway. I’ve always been a pretty casual rider. Sometimes I’ll go for a longer ride but usually it’s only for commuting. Beats a car in the city hands-down.
