OHP 5’s PRO: 45, 65, 95, 115, 125, 135

OHP BBS(10x5): 115 lbs
Superset with: 5x10 KB squats (36 kg bell); 5x10 KB SLDL (22 kg bells)

Pulling work:
3x10 DB hammer curls (45 lb DBs)
3x10 inverted rows

Notes: Just a straightforward 531 workout. Wanted to maximize the amount of work I could get in with limited time this morning.

TB DL 5’s PRO: 155, 205, 225, 275, 295, 325 lbs

Weight vest circuit (30# vest):
5x5 TBDL @ 275 lbs+vest
5x10 ring dips (BW + vest)
5x10 pull ups (BW + vest)

Extra pull, mechanical drop set with 75 lbs:
15 reverse curls
15 curls
15 hammer curls

5x15s Airdyne sprints + 5 minute Airdyne cool down

Notes: I give my final exam this morning, so had to get something in before that. Fun circuit, and hadn’t done ring dips in a while.

100 inverted ring rows
200 push ups
300 squats
2 miles Airdyne

Notes: Felt like I needed a break from the barbell, and this is always a great workout when I can’t quite decide what to do or find myself trying to craft a too cleaver workout.

b) 6 alternating DB snatches - L/R - 18 kg bell
c) Farmer’s walk - 25 yards - 36+44 kg bells (with heavy bell in left hand)
d) 10 KB swings - 36 kg bell

Time = 23:01

Notes: Saw this on @simo74 ‘s log, and thought it looked right up my alley. It was. Nice mix of both simplicity and variety, if that makes sense. Seems like I picked weights that worked well for me, and those total of 20 Farmer’ walks (with uneven weights) really added up a I progressed through the rounds.

Other than that, got in about 6 miles of around-the-town biking today.

20 rounds of Dan John’s Armor Building Complex (done EMOM):

2 double KB cleans
1 double KB press
3 double KB Front squat
(pair of 22 kg bells)

2 miles Airdyne

Notes: Soccer game was canceled due to rain, so wanted to get in some work doing something different. This is a deceptively sneaky workout. The first few rounds were too easy, I thought I would just reset the whole and do it every 45 seconds. But by the halfway mark, those minutes were going by fast enough. EMOM ended up being perfect for this.

Put on a 30# weight vest, then:

2 miles Airdyne

50 ring dips
50 ring rows
50 SLDL with 22 kb KBs (shrug at top)
(done circuit-style in 5 rounds)

2 miles Airdyne

Bonus: 15 jumps, 100 band pull aparts, set of curls

Notes: Pretty typical template for me these days. Took about 45 minutes or so. I’m planning to hit a yoga class later, as well.

Had my booster shot yesterday, but felt good in the AM. Did the following:

DL, in sets of 2: 155, 225, 275, 325, 355 lbs

Then put on a 30# vest, and do the following:

1 mile on Airdyne

50 pull ups
150 push ups
150 squats
(circuit-style)

1 mile on Airdyne

Notes: Was planning to finish the other half of the WV work later in the day, but the booster suddenly hit me in the afternoon. Fighting off some chills and fatigue. Nothing too bad, but enough that I won’t be finishing that second half today.

Bench press in sets of 10: 65, 115, 155, 185, 225 lbs

Wearing a 30# vest, did the following:

2 miles on Airdyne

Weight vest circuit:
50 inverted ring row
100 push ups
50 snatches (18 kg bell)
(circuit-style)

1 mile on Airdyne

A few hours later: 1 hour of soccer.

Notes: Feeling much better today after being knocked out by the booster shot yesterday. Felt energetic and spry on the soccer field, and the weights moved crisply on the bench press.

Wearing a 30# weight vest:

2 miles on Airdyne
100 inverted ring rows
200 push ups
300 squats
2 miles on Airdyne

Time = 42:42

Notes: I opted for rows over pull ups, since I’m planning on doing some heavy weighted pull ups tomorrow. Also, the rings were already set up for rows and I didn’t feel like adjusting them for pull ups.

50 inverted ring rows
50 SLDL+shurgs @ 22 kg Kbells
(down in 5 circuits)

Remove vest, then:

100 empty bar curls
100 banded push downs
100 banded pull aparts

Notes: Didn’t feel especially strong or energetic today, but got in some solid work. I’m traveling starting tomorrow, so I’ll be taking 5 days off of structured training while visiting friends and family. I’ll get in some runs, hikes, and go to parks to get in some calisthenics.

Visiting family, very limited with what I can do. Found a pair of 25 lb DBs:

50 Devil’s Presses
200 push ups
200 sit ups
150 DB curls

Break

50 pull ups
5x60y sprints

Notes: Not bad work for what I had at my disposal. This trip, visiting friends and family, will involve eating more than usual so anything I get in will be a nice bonus to off-set the Holiday bloat. Considered bringing my weight vest, but thought better of it. This will be a nice break from the norm, and also I don’t want to be one of those guys that everything revolves around my “WOD”.
