Anti-Estrogen Question

My estradiol was 3 points high said the urologist and added Arimidex, which I’m pleased about but I know diddly .
Anyone tell me about stuff like this or which forum to ask in please?
Thanks.

Please post in TRT and if possible post any blood results you have (test, free test, SHBG, estrogen etc) plus your current protocol (are you taking testosterone?)
I’ll tag in @systemlord now for a heads up as he’s all over the current thoughts on this.

If the sole reason for the AI prescription is estrogen 3 points the ranges, it shows the urologist doesn’t know anything about estrogen.

There’s 50 times more estrogen in the tissue than in serum levels. You’re seeing a spill-over level in the blood. Three points over the ranges, lab deviation, and you next lab testing could be in range, you’re basically splitting hairs.

Introducing a drug which is known for some pretty bad side effects, or possibly crashing estrogen for a minuscule amount over the range has an unacceptable risk to benefit ratio.

Yo what?

If you aren’t feeling any high E symptoms - you don’t need it.

Post labs please

Just no. There used to be an active thread titled Dumb Things Doctors Do. This would be included in it. Most guys on TRT have elevated E2, and most do not need an aromatase inhibitor.

What is the dose?

For 3 points? What a fuck nut. The AI may drop you even 20 points or more, but if you were 3 points less he wouldn’t prescribe AI?
