No way are his traps built through lifting and gear alone. Its impossible for them to get that big so out of proportion to the rest of his body. It has to be synthol, as well as a lot of gear.
How is it impossible for one body part to ‘get out of proportion to the rest of his body’? I see plenty of people in the gym everyday that have massively developed anterior musculature but from the back they have nothing. Also what about all the people that neglect their legs?
Because its impossible to isolate the traps in the way it is possible to isolate other muscle groups. Ever wonder why you never see a “trap machine” at any gym? You have to bring other musculature into the picture just to perform the lifts that work the traps.
I have a “trap machine” at my gym called a SHRUG MACHINE. It is made by Hammer Strength and shrugs even with a barbell don’t involve other muscle groups to the degree that they would reach full development from that exercise. Your forearms get more of a workout but that is about it with most force being directed right at the traps.
So no, what you just wrote is bullshit and it is possible to train your traps at the exclusion of other body parts.
Why speak on things you clearly have no clue about?
Then it sounds like he is “mission accomplished”.
He is awkwardly built, but most people won’t know the difference anyway and he might as well be Ronnie Coleman to the other Asian people in that vid clip.
Yeah, because shrugs only target the traps. A shrug machine is not a trap machine, its a fucking shrug machine.
You said yourself, your forearms are involved in the movement. Try shrugging a heavy weight at the limit of your grip strength and see which is the most activated musculature.
There are plenty of people with large traps, but there are virtually no bodybuilders that have traps like his.
And everyone who is so convinced they do, go shrug some heavy ass weight for two years, and lets see if your traps get too freaky.
I use straps when I’m at my grip limit because I want to focus on the traps. You should give it a try next time.
