Another Penis Amputation

I can’t say that I’ve ever known a man who found female genital mutilation to be funny. Quite the opposite: outrage of varying degrees is what I’ve seen. If were making comparisons, lets compare apples to apples.

This is reason # 349 why we should repeal the 19th amendment.

Oh and BTW anyone getting mutilated to me is abhorent. Terrible. Shruging your shoulders at this and laughing at it are two unacceptable responses in my opinion. I will echo what someone said earlier. I believe it was PROF X or IRON D. What if it was your Brother, Father Or Son? Someone that you were really close to? Would you laugh then? Would you shrug your shoulders and say who cares?
Getting raped and beaten by a spouse is pretty fucking horrific too. Unless you’re going to show this much outrage everytime you encounter that kind of humour, which happens every five minutes on these forums and that I’ve never seen you or anyone else here speak out against then I think you’re talking a load of shit.

If you’re offended then you can do what the feminists and the Christians have been told for decades, change the channel. (Don’t like don’t buy, don’t read it blah blah blah)

I don’t think it’s funny and I haven’t laughed yet but what is ridiculous to me is how you guys will sit here indignant about the world not caring about the guy while fucking rape jokes and wife beating jokes fly right past your suddenly politically correct radar about 100 miles an hour. If I get offended I’m get told to ‘lighten up.’

And yet because some women made the joke you think you can stand there and get all “YOU PEOPLE” about it. That’s retarded. Or do I get to call ProfX and the black men here out as representatives of the black community everytime some black dude does something stupid?

And what this bullshit has to do with your inability to be real fucking men is beyond me. If you can’t be real fucking men then what the fuck are you? Why don’t you have a march or a sit in or something if you’re so fucking oppressed.

If there was a march to end the violence against men, how many of you would actually be man enough to march? If you think you would then why the hell aren’t you doing it already? Because I HAVE marched. I HAVE volunteered at the women’s shelters and I HAVE given thousands of dollars to the women’s resource centres to HELP women escape violence. Have you given anything to end the violence against men? Because that is what is really telling how much you care about the issue and how much you’re just blowing hot air, mad that I don’t care by virtue of having a pussy between my legs. Unless you’ve done something about it, YOU don’t care.
1. Rape and wife beating jokes cannot be publically laughed at. You will never ever ever find a male newscaster laughing and joking about a woman being raped. That would end his career.

 2. Feminists are not told to “change the channel” (maybe christians are on the other hand). Society has had to bend over backwards everytime feminists complained about some nonsense.

 3. You and I both know that when it comes to domestic violence, there is always a double standard. And once again, these standards on domestic violence which favor women are a sign on society bending over backwards for feminists.

Thank you for playing.

I just got told I “loathe women” for even discussing it. What will your kids do if things progress from a whole room of women laughing at torture just because the REAL LIFE VICTIM was a guy?

Honest question.

Do you foresee any escalation?

Do you think discussing this means you “loathe women”?

Well, if I had a son and if he came to me explaining that a whole room of women thought cutting of penises is funny I might have to explain to him the concept of fucking skanks and how to avoid winding up in a relationship with them.

Also, we need to.

We dont care though.

Then, women are people, I will inevitably loathe some.

Finally, you are kind of heavy, I appreciate that you will not jump on me.

That might hurt.

As long as you are not assuming all women are thinking “chopping of penis’” is funny.
Nobody wants to be lumped into a group.

Then no it does not mean you “loath” women.<–Just my opinion though

It isn’t feminism, to laugh at penis’ being chopped off, either.<–This is supposed to be about women having equal rights and opportunities not about bringing men down. Just like the civil right’s movement was not about bringing white men down but making things equal.

I understand it isn’t all women. I also know they wouldn’t tolerate a male news caster for one day if he jumped on the air and asked OJ if he could laugh about it now.

THAT is what the issue is, not the fact that someone laughs at a dick.

Honestly, in the health field currently, women dominate the landscape. In environments where I am often the only guy in the place, this dynamic does have effects that can be worrisome especially when society is geared towards thinking he woman is always the victim.

Acknowledging that has nothing to do with “loathing women”. It has way more to do with not loathing myself.

No one should tolerate either scenarios. Most jobs and activities I do have been dominated by men so I don’t come in contact with what you are talking about.

Do the woman at your work joke about this?

That was great!

This is terrible and I didn’t laugh.

Although there are not newscasters laughing about female genital mutilation, they don’t do it because it would be a nightly report. Do you get it? Every day out in the world a young girl is having her vaginal lips sliced off. Where are the news reports? Yes I do not expect you men to laugh about it, but… the world has turned their attention away from it because… “that is just what they do in their society…”.

Yah… you poor guys… being wives in India that are set on fire because your bridal dowry wasn’t high evnough… or how about being a 13yr old girl bleeding to death because your husband ripped you apart fucking you and didn;t care to take you to a hospital.

I know… this is just a day to day occurence and seems to a lot of folks that this does not merit day to day outrage. So forgive me if I abhor the act of one woman cutting off one man’s penis and do not march in his defence.

How about when the news bothers to put faces on the women who suffer genital mutilation, burning by in-laws, beating to death or drowning for “honor”, and all the rest.

holey freaking moley. You poor men… poor poor men, maybe you should all move to the mid-east and you too can beat your wife, drown your daughter, and mutilate the genitals of your baby daughters as this is your right.

poor men… the world treats you so badly

not one woman on this thread has laughed but you lump us all in to one group. Yes Sharon Osborne laughed, but I have heard Jimmy Kimmel make jokes about roofies. I have heard David Letterman make jokes about what a woman was wearing.

It may even be worse that rape and spousal abuse in GENERAL IS A JOKE.

Everyone can laugh about it now right? Like that 14yr old girl gang raped at the prom while folks taped it on their cell phones? Oh that was a HOOT! a real knee slapper. I know… no name to laugh about, but… fuck you… you know those fucks were laughing and sharing the video. THAT IS HOW THE SHERIFFS FOUND THEM.

and that was not the only case of that. So don’t say it was the only case.

I do not laugh about what happened to that man. Not one woman on here has.

Stop lumping us in. I also want the hypocrites then to stop with the “try hitting her” or “put it up her butt”.

My “point of view” is that A) you are correct, this amputation is not funny (I have repeated this how many times? how many must I before you can hear it? what is there to defend when I agree with you?), B) “women” don’t engage in or condone amputating or laughing as a group, as we are not a group, C) to continue to screech that women are gunning for your manhood given A and B suggests far more emotional overriding of common sense than my pointing out that I cheerfully ignore jokes about abuse against my gender daily. CHEERFULLY. Because they don’t threaten me in any way. I make careful choices about the sort of man I like to be around and practice reasonable diligence to avoid the kind I don’t. Here is a less selective place, so I ignore what I don’t like.

I would posit that network television also counts as “a less selective place.”

I know, right? That’s one of the reasons he’s on my favorite comedians list.

Apparently this 11yr old was asking for the rape

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/03/16/republican-lawmaker-blames-11-year-old-victim-of-alleged-gang-rape/

Elected officials should know better than to blame the victim of a sex crime.

During debate over a bill that would legislate a dress code for Florida students, Passidomo blamed the alleged gang raping of an 11-year-old in Cleveland, Texas on the way the young girl was dressed.

“There was an article about an 11 year old girl who was gangraped in Texas by 18 young men because she was dressed like a 21-year-old prostitute,” Passidomo declared.

“And her parents let her attend school like that. And I think it?s incumbent upon us to create some areas where students can be safe in school and show up in proper attire so what happened in Texas doesn?t happen to our students,” she added.

Broward/Palm Beach New Times’ Brandon Thorp was shocked.

“Whoa!” he wrote. “As a genus, politicians aren’t the brightest wicks in the candelabra, but they usually possess sufficient self-awareness to shield the public from the horrorshows of their minds. Blaming the rape of an 11-year-old girl on her parents’ sense of fashion – and to do so out loud – smacks of rank amateurism.”

At a civc meeting in Cleveland following the crime, local residents there had also placed blame on the girl.

“Many who attended the meeting said they supported the group of men and boys who have been charged 000the case,” The Associated Press reported. "Supporters didn’t claim that the men and boys did not have sex with the young girl; instead they blamed the girl for the way she dressed or claimed she must have lied about her age ? accusations that have drawn strong responses from those who note an 11-year-old cannot consent to sex and that it doesn’t matter how she was dressed."

Can we just agree that all this is wrong?

If you are hanging out with folks that think an 11yr old asked to be raped or a man deserved to have his penis cut off, maybe you need new friends.

Stop lumping all women together.

If you aren’t happy with the way men are being portrayed then do something about it. You are not helpless.

Don’t like the marketing, don’t buy the product, write letters, protest, stand up for your rights as the put upon men you are.

Be sure to do it in the Middle East so you have a lot of sympathy for the downtrodden. Or in China… .you know… men are treated so terribly there.

I don’t laugh at what happened, but I shake my head at you men thinking you have it so bad in this world. Poor fellas. Maybe your mom can protect you if things get too bad.

I am going to say one thing and then I am done with this thread. And it is directed in particular to the women who have jumped in this thread and pooh poohed the fact that guys are uncomfortable with this being laughed at. Human nature, quite simply is always going to be to empathize more with those you are most alike. So obviously, as a group, women are going to be more emotionally tied to abuses against women, just like people of any group are going to be more emotionally tied to injustices that affect people most like them. That being said, it says a lot more about you as a person when you are able to empathize with injustices against groups you are not a part of. Sad to say, but the majority of the female posters I read in this thread lacked empathy and only used the subject as a pulpit to rant, rail and scream and really accomplish nothing; but exorcise their own personal demons. Ladies, your slips are showing. I love how you all keep bringing up female abuse and genital mutilation as a basis for your outrage and emotionally and, probably; hormonally fueled tirades. In the past I have volunteered at all female homeless shelters and shelters for abused women and I just completed getting funding for Nawal El Saadawi to speak at my school. If you are really going to use female genital mutilation as a touchpoint for your arguments, you should know who she is. If not, shut up, learn the history of your argument and do a fucking Google search.

I’m a man and I probably have had more contact and dealing with women’s issues than most of the women in this thread and I say your arguments are bullshit. I have empathy. You don’t. Pleas shut up.

and to say it AGAIN, I didn’t find the article funny, I did not laugh, my friends did not laugh.

BUT, I have heard jokes about “roofies”, and how a woman was dressed, “a woman minding her place” and all that in the mainstream media. There wasn’t a specific name because it is so prevalent they would eat up all their time just naming the victims.

So again… not happy with how you are portrayed, contact your media, contact your representative, contact whoever will listen. But unless you do that, you are just complaining.

NO WOMAN POSTING ON THIS THREAD ALLIED HERSELF WITH THIS HORRIFIC ACT. Each woman was against what happened.

Your statement, “I’m a man and I probably have had more contact and dealing with women’s issues than most the women in this thread and I say your arguments are bullshit…” is such a load of crap.

I have worked in domestic violence clinics as has DebraD and EmilyQ. You really do not have more information and dealing with this issue then we have. What a stupid comment.

Maybe you just need to read again what the VERY FEW women posters have posted in this anti-woman thread.

If you have any questions regarding domestic violence or violence against women please feel free to ask me here or in PM.

LOL at “anti-woman” thread. As if mentioning the problem means we hate women.

LO fucking L.
