I lot of GNR while driving.
one in a million, mama kin, nice boys, rocket queen, etc Metallica, VR, etc
when using headphones:
arch enemy
at the gates
heaven shall burn
venom
pantera
Stormtroopers of death
becoming the archetype
BTBAM
etc

More good heavy stuff:
x2 on Five Finger, Lamb Of God, and throwdown
All that remains
Norma Jean
Atreyu (the old stuff, suicide notes &butterfly kisses or the curse)
Parkway Drive
Hatebreed-Live For This/Destroy Everything (songs)
Blood Stain Child (japanese techno/metal)
Killswitch Engage
a few select Linkin Park songs

Nice list sir, although not death metal by any means, Thrice gets me friggen pumped for lifting.
I usually listen to harsh industrial sounding stuff before/when I work out. It makes me feel like a cold killing machine or something.
Wumpscut (the song War and certain songs on Cannibal Anthem)
Nine Inch Nails
Skinny Puppy
KMFDM
Combichrist
But also other stuff like Necro, Rage Against The Machine, AFI, Tristania, Tool, The Transplants, The Misfits, Slipknot, and I ALWAYS have to listen to “More Human Than Human” by White Zombie.
Great set up so far people; I dig it!
Not “metal” but:
Muse : Stockholm Syndrome
That’s more of a pre-workout song to get me going…like when I’m tying my shoes and filling my shaker before I walk out.
It would be sweet to have an entrance song at the gym.
"Oh shit, Brian’s coming…play “F*cking Determined!!!” (Mudvayne btw)

I saw Muse at Lollapalooza last summer, I felt like I was on some crazy drugs the music was so good. I was stone sober!
I’ll always love Sevendust.

Thanks man. No. I’m serious. Thanks man.
I have to find out why there are NO thrash bands today.
Bullet for my Valentine,
Diecast,
In Flames,
Arch Enemy,
Element Eighty,
Disturbed.
For those of you that want something that’s kinda “out there”, or like Progressive Metal try Agalloch. Think of a mix of Pink Floyd, Tool, and Sigur Ros you’ve got an awesome band. Many of their songs are over 8 minutes long too.
