Anna's Training Log Part 2 (Part 1)

On a separate note, I sent nitpicky advisor the data he requested a week ago, he hasn’t gotten back to me about it nor did he respond to my follow up. He did respond to my panic email.

I’m a bit paranoid that I’m being abandoned

Now that I think about it, I’m always afraid of being abandoned :joy:

Wouldn’t the main concern be that you’d be in big trouble with your health?

I mean, I can’t claim to know all about this stuff but if you actually were going through menopause rn, that would be a huge issue. Although I would think that’s highly unlikely. i paid enough attention in gynecology to know that. Especially if you only suspect that because of perceived(!) fat gain around the midsection.

Good point. I’m pretty sure I’d not be in actual menopause, it more the hormone tanking part

I’d been doing great hormone wise. Don’t want that to change

Do you prepare your eggs the same way every single time? John Meadows talked about cooking them in a variety of ways as a means to prevent this. I ran into similar issues and found that helpful.

Basically. In a pan with butter (omelette, scrambled)…

I’ll try boiling and poaching and see if this helps

Week 4: day 1

Squat: 1x5-50,60,70kg; 1x17-80!!!; 3x5-75, beltless
Front squat: 2x5-60, beltless
Deadbugs: 6x10/side
Deadlift: 1x5-60,80,90kg; 1x10, 1x5-100kg
Conventional deadlift: 3x5-90

  • that’s right, I did squats and deads on the same day and hit a huge PR, I definitely had the gas to go for 20 but I was feeling it in my back and didn’t want a tweak, rest of the workout went well

Something else to maybe try would be just eating the yolk. In most cases the intolerance is to the white (different composition than the yolk). I’ve worked with bodybuilders and physique competitors that have developed an intolerance to egg whites after eating high quantities over long periods of time. Also, I’ve worked with folks with GI and autoimmune issues that can’t tolerate the whites, but do well with the yolks.

Thanks!

I’ll give that a try if cooking in a different way doesn’t work.

Egg yolks are my favourite!

  • felt good and got blood flowing

That is absolutely awesome, that’s genuinely put a smile on my face.

Should we be worried that he got your name wrong or am I just out of the loop.

I mean she seemed to put the subject line of her email as “Hi from Angela.” So you’re probably out of the loop and Anna is probably not great at writing subject lines.

Congrats though Anna that’s awesome, I forgot to mention but I read that chapter you posted on emerging markets a while back, I thought it was very good for a rough draft!
