Right because what you just did wasn’t enough? Oh my God! You’re a fricking beast :joy: :joy: :joy:

I once did 770 air squats (among 70 pull-ups and 170 push-ups) and it took me almsot an hour of willpower! You’re a goddess! How long did it last? I’d avise you don’t train at all tomorrow lol

Thanks!

The air squats took 85min, the circuit took ~30min, mostly bc I was really slow with the heavy push presses (was doing singles LOL)

@SkyzykS , pgh weather has been surprisingly good . If this keeps up, I might actually consider applying to CMU for grad school… I mean, im already working wjth/have worked with all the ppl who would be my advisor(s)

@dagill2 I don’t want to further derail Pwn’s log.

I developed this mindset through writing. Before 8th grade, I was led to believe that I was a “bad writer”. Then, my 8th grade humanities teacher told me that I was good, just needed practice. I started writing and realized that I loved it and was pretty good at it (won some national prizes)

What kind of writing do you enjoy?

creative non- fiction that’s intended to be semi- humorous

I have a food blog.

Every year I write a piece related to a class I took. I’ve been working on one I call “the econ in everything” where I apply econ models to random life things (ie whether to skip lines)

That sounds like an awesome creative outlet. Do you ever release those pieces for other people to see?

I share them with friends. I’d share them here, but file uploading is weird

Sounds like a great way to do things. I was listening to a podcast the other day in which Jim Wendler was talking about creative writing everyday as a way to crystalise your own thoughts on a subject and work on communication skills.

Wendler and Dan John are great writers.

Chad Wesley Smith from Elite FTS is also pretty good. Love his humour

Agree 100%

Did you ever read that Paul Kelso book? I highly recommend it.

Isn’t Chad Wesley Smith an Australian strength coach from Juggernaught systems (or a similar named company)

I’ll have to check it out!

On a sidenote: My love of writing is actually a comparaticve advantage in Econ. Most econ ppl prefer to communicate through equations, which is valid, but isn’t the best way to engage with audiences… including academic ones

yeah. He writes for Elite FTS though

Also, Dave tate, the main ELite FTS guy, I think I sort of confused them

I think most people think that writing in an engaging way is easy, hence why so many people think they’ve got a novel in them somewhere. Anyone who’s ever tried, and released it for a wider audience, realises this is false, so years of practice here will give you a serious leg up.

He did before he left and made Juggernaut. Was a big fan of him when he was on the team. Loved following him onto the strongman pro scene. Juggernaut is a cool site too.

But he’s an American @dagill2 !

I stand corrected.

Yeah, it has. We’re getting a few sunny days in a row here and there.

Well lets see. You’ve gone sled riding. You’ve tried some local pizza, and im just guessing you’ve been to at least a couple local historical/cultural features.

 Now if we could just get you onto some rail trails.

Thats probably pretty important too.
