I’m definitely getting a coach when I can afford one.
I’ve gotten better at following training plans though

Plenty of good, free advice in here I’d bet.
Yep. Not debating that.
I just want someone to literally tell me how much to eat and how much to do
Right now, there are a lot of qualified ppl telling me to “est more” and “train less”, but I look at the same qualified individuals and none of them really know how much I should be eating or exercising (it’s not their job either)
Then I look at said logs and they’re doing exponentially more than j am
Mum might foot the bill for a qualified nutrition specialist (who unbeknownst to her also can write you a quality gym plan)
I think that’s a great idea. That’s what I have and it’s such a nice mental break.
Quit comparing yourself to other people. You only see what they post which is a brief snapshot of the whole story.
I am very interested in getting coaching from the 3dmj ppl but their spots are filled
Also am interested In the carbon coaching app. I tried the free version but it put me on 1600 kcal AND counted the calories in my veggies.
Sounds big money.
You mean eating exponentially more, right?
I am looking to get a coach once I no longer have preschool expenses (still 1.5 years out).
The tricky part is finding someone who can both handle managing getting me huge and controlling my nutrition for diabetes.
I am holding out hope that person is out there.
A lot of the bigger guys have used insulin, I know that’s not exactly and apples to apples comparison lol but they may know about stiff a diabetic would need ![]()
Possibly I am currently on insulin (can’t take other drugs due to last pancreatitis bouts) but hoping to lower the dose soon as my sensitivity goes up from building mass.
I have been wondering if that has been contributing to my faster than normal gains now.
10000000% this.
I want to pick at this for a minute. What plan are you following? What exact goals are you trying to achieve? I ask this because I look at what you log and it is not apparent to me. This may be in part the way you write things down. But a lot of it appears to be counterproductive to any kind of real progress, doubly so when you throw in possible nutrition issues.
You know my thoughts here. I’d stopped giving them in the belief they were clearly understood.
I agree with @wanna_be, letting someone else handle your nutrition and training makes perfect sense on the assumption you are totally honest with them about all details, including medical issues.
Goals too. “Strength” keeps getting stated as the goal, but “not gaining any bodyweight” appears to be the true goal.
“fun” for you is counter-productive.
And I don’t believe $ is the reason you can’t let a coach dictate your training. Plenty of people on these forums who you look up to (and even try to emulate) have told you exactly what to do and not to do and you’ve never taken their advice.
I’m in no place to give you advice really cause I kinda do whatever the hell I want but you are very strong and still so young.
I easily spent like 10 years wishing I was like every other chick who was stronger and leaner and wondering why the hell I couldn’t just be like that. ( and there’s proof of that all over t nation because I’ve kept a log that long !)
That was a big waste of time when I look back on it.
Eating more is scary , but its not irreversible.
EXTREMELY anabolic too
It doesn’t put you anywhere, its based on the responses you gave. If you didnt like the starting number all you have to do is re-do the initial form with a higher activity level estimate. Sounds like you just undersold your activity level. All that said I don’t rate the app particularly highly having used it for 3 months (paid).
Lol, what? I do not know your exact stats, but you are easily at AT LEAST 2100 calories a day just to maintain. You are in the top top top top end of activity. Probably more like 2200-2300.
Jesus flipping criminy, Anna, this is very basic stuff. Add 500 calories a day. Do 531. You’re welcome.
