Anna's Training Log Part 2 (Part 1)

Nothing has brought me more joy in life than my kids. And I’m pretty sure that sentiment would be echoed by every other parent on this site.

It’s great that you’ve made progress. I didn’t mean to come across as standoffish. It was hastily written and I’m sorry. To elaborate, I’ve found that if there’s been some genuine fat gain worth losing maintaining a deficit isn’t really a struggle. I think your lower, test days, fail because your body disagrees with you fundamentally about whether now is an appropriate time to be in a deficit.

Therapy is going to help with building this confidence. It will be very helpful to have a guide to navigate your psychology.

Week 22: Day 3
Pistols: 1x6/side, 3x5/side, 1x4/side, 3x3/side, 1x2/side, all w/45lbs
RDLs: 2x5/side-25lbs 5050 tempo

  • very happy w/ performance, pistols moved a lot smoother than expected, surprised at 3x5/side considering that I wasn’t able to complete reps last time- hardest part was maintaining bracing, RDLs really burned

Are you talking about my post in flame free?

yeah, It disappeared for me. Also, I tried tagging you about it a minute ago in a seperate post in my log and that went away too

Yeah guessing mods weren’t happy about it. I don’t think deleting it is a cool move at all but I won’t say no more if that is the case.

I thought it would be ok to discuss it and didn’t mean it in a particularly malicious way but I still like this site so I’ll leave it there.

Did you by any chance comment on the new banner at the top? Advertising a friend of the sites owner?

yes he did

Hard Artery went and got himself banned for that kind of thing, probably not a line of thought worth exploring.

I thought he left because he’d said something about it and his posts were deleted (what just happened to me). Either way, I’ll leave it after this post, people can make their own minds up on it.

One thing I have just thought though - I don’t think anyone’s posts were deleted any of the many times PC got called out on his claims. Not sure why it’s different for the author replacing him.

And finally, disclaimer because I feel like i need to say it: I DO like the new author’s stuff, it’s something I’ve never seen before and I would like to try his new program. If it was free I definitely would once gyms reopen and I’m trying to gain weight. I might buy the book to try it anyway. I would love his claims to be true and would absolutely eat my words. BUT, it’s a bit weird that he isn’t allowed to be criticised on here and the mods keep sweeping it under the carpet, especially when some people treat his word as gospel.

I’ve been doing a modified version of 30-10-30 for my RDLs and it’s been really cool

Glad you like it. While I’m in lockdown, I might try it as a way to make the most of the weight I have once it gets too easy for normal reps.

It’s one of those things that is harder than it sounds, but didn’t sound easy in the first place. I still can’t manage a proper 30sec eccentric w/ the 25lb KB

I’ve been doing (20-10-20)/side with the 25lb or (12-8-12)/side with the 45lb
