For what its worth i probably do less than 5k steps most week days. I work an office job and don’t do any specific conditioning because it doesn’t progress me towards any of my speific goals. My strength goes up year on year though.
Hmm, I think I’ll check out sheiko. Should I do the beginner version since I just started deadlifting again?
Instead of conditioning every day, maybe a session on non- lifting days?
The beginner or intermediate programs are solid. I’m actually running intermediate at the moment because I can only train 3 days a week and its still good for me. I can send you the official programs if your alternative is going off the online spreadsheets.
I don’t want to be the guy promoting program hopping though lol, but I’m happy to provide the info for you to do with as you please.
I’m on the last week of a cycle anyways
Thanks I’d love that ! But am I advanced enough for the intermediate?
I’d try beginner and see how you go. It’s only 8 weeks.
What are your current one rep maxes for squat bench and deadlift? Not all time bests but currently.
Squat 75kgx2
Bench: 55kg
Deadlift: 110kg
The gym only has plates down to 2.5kg so the min is 5kg jumps
Ill send something across later.
I’d get some fractional plates if I were you. Doesn’t cost a fortune and easy to carry in your gym bag. Even just 2.5kg jumps are huge on certain lifts.
It fits right next to the beer and donuts. Minimal if at all, unless you don’t actually want to get stronger.
If you want to be a powerlifter then train like a powerlifter. If you want to do something else then stop trying to be a powerlifter. You can’t have it all.
Maybe a bit, like 5% difference. It doesn’t account for your issues.
So right.
Well… you want 3,5x BW deadlift in 6 months. 140 kg deadlift is for a woman who is 10 kg more than you. 10kg of muscles -just imagine 10 kg of pork steaks all over your body.
I don’t know is this possible, but in that case you shouldn’t do any cardio, any conditioning or even walk so much and you have to eat and rest perfectly.
It’s definitely possible but you are right that it will take some specialisation.
It’s definitely a tall order, but I was at 122.5kg(270lbs) 6 months ago
I’m down to 110kg now, but based on what people have been saying, I should be able to get back to baseline and much more with the right training and nutrition
If Stefi Cohen can deadlift 4x bodyweight while in a rigorous PT school and running a business, I can probably deadlift 3.5x bodyweight with a ridiculously easy academic schedule and no extra obligations
You really like this chick, and I can’t blame you as I do too
. Have you ever reached out to her and asked her some questions?
yep!
I don’t have an instagram and her website contact form is for prospective clients, not personal questions, so unfortunately, no… She’s also super busy and probably doesn’t have time to answer my basic (arguably stupid) questions
You’ve got killer work ethic. I’d love to see you eat more and see how much muscle you could gain
100%
If im right in remembering that you weight less than 97 lbs and would lift in the lightest weight class, a 122.5kg deadlift would put you in the top 38 in the world so, props for that.
hitting 140 would put you top 10. Please compete ha
The above figures include tested and untested lifters
I’m definitely natty- except for the 3 months of HGH my parents put me on in 6th grade in a desperate attempt to make me taller
Youd pass all the drug tests so ![]()
And be top 10 either way. Chances are you’d win whatever you entered. By a margin. Nice to get some perspective on your progress huh.
