Anna's Training Log Part 2 (Part 1)

I don’t think I’ve ever seen you expand on what your actual goal is physique-wise. Do you have one?

@pecsmex ‘s physique. Tried to express that with minimal creep

Solid goal. Perhaps you should reread where she said she does “zero cardio”, because you fixated on more ab work instead. Can’t build muscle in a constant catabolic state.

To add to what @flappinit said, maybe figure out her nutritional approach as well, since this is what she attributes her success to.

I dunno. I’ve never seen any women with a shoulder yoke and adams apple and everything like that as their walking around condition, and I’ve been around a few BB, figure, and bikini competitors.

Not sayin it isn’t what it appears to be. Just saying I’ve not seen it.

I’d like to give her the benefit of the doubt… her and those CrossFit girls.

CrossFit girls are much more likely I think, there’s more muscle mass and a slightly higher (healthier) BF% there - especially year-round. I work with a girl that’s a pretty good XF-er, collegiate XC-er, and now Boston marathon qualifier, and she’s at her hormonal limit at 12% BF measured. She could eat up a little heavier and put on muscle mass, but fat would probably come with it.

Aspire to it though, having an extreme goal may help you separate/prioritize your short term goals.

I would too, and I don’t mean to seem discouraging. I’d just recommend a fuller/more complete understanding of it, them move forward with an informed decision.

Week 3: day3

Took things easier today ( only 40 min)- I’ll go back for accessories around noon

1arm push-ups: 3x(2- full+4with 6in assist)
For time: kettlebell swings-2x(1-10)/side w/2- 20 push-ups between sets, 16:35

  • felt good, 1 arm push-ups getting stronger, left still a lot weaker and stability hard, twisted my left arm a bit - elbows pissed, swings workout got hr up, easier than expected

@Voxel I was clearing out my old photos and realized that I’ve gotten quite a bit softer. I’m freaking out a bit because the change went over my head while I was keeping track, I’m afraid of becoming one of those overweight “former athletes “ in the futures

Learn to ignore your brain and stick to the process.
You can worry about being a former athlete when you’re a former athlete

Noted, although there’s a reason I put athlete In quotes :joy::joy::sweat_smile:

Based on your recent pictures this is all in your head. I can appreciate that doesn’t make it any easier to deal with. But, your weight trajectory and your measurements don’t paint this tale.

It’d be different if you had maintained weight/marginally gained, and your waist was several inches bigger but even if it were I don’t see a body composition change in your pictures (so, you are “safe”) Continue to

But also, seek therapy. You won’t get out of this mindset all on your own I think. A good nutritional therapist, or a support group, or something.

Pistols: 10x10/side-11lb paint can w/90sec rests
Swings: 10x10-emom, 45lb kB

  • felt hard, but not as bad as expected, coordination is suffering a bit :joy:

Forgot the lunges…
3x(5swings+20alt lunges)-80sec rests

@flappinit what do you think of my ghetto, toned down “deepwater” squats :joy::joy:

Week 3: day5

Felt pretty horrible after my birthday cheat day (4000 :joy::joy:)

3x(1/2mile+10 push-ups)-35lb in pack
Push-ups: 7x20- emom
Rows: 2x(5-45lb+10-25lb)/side

  • got hr up but not too intense, shoulders pretty sore

“Murph”

Don’t have a pull-up bar (can’t do pull-ups in a reasonable time frame either)

(1mile run+20x(15pushups+15squats)+1mile run)- 40:45

  • pretty intense but not as bad as expected, went by really quick, push-ups the hardest part

@flappinit Good luck!!!

Happy belated birthday, hope you had a good one!

I love me a good soup coma! The feeling when you’re not sure if you’re gonna die but would do it again 10/10 is special.

Soup coma? Is that a typo, or did you mean it?

Because I’ve definitely had one, although in my case it was probably the 800g loaf of fresh, buttered bread I ate with it.
