Decided to do 75 Hard from today until August 9th. On top of the usual rules (2x45 minute workout, 1 of them outdoors, take a progress picture, follow a diet, read 10 pages of a non-fiction book and drink 3.8 litres of water) I’m also going to use the time to quit vaping (I smoked for 6 years and have been vaping for 4 now) I’ve switched over to the “Zyn” nicotine pouches as of today, which are admittedly still not great, but a whole lot easier on the lungs.

I’ll be using the 75 hard app to track things but will still try to log here every day.

KB waiter walk 2x20’ per hand 24kg
Balance of 45 minutes used for stretching/mobility work, also rode the airbike for 3 miles/ 7 minutes while doing some reading

45 minute ruck with 25lbs pack 3.2km (yesterdays ruck was also in kilometres not miles)

Practiced juggling and single leg balance, did some of Judd Lienhard’s grappler flows and max shank’s primal athleticism stuff as well. Using sundays for more fun stuff like this.

I changed up the exercises and dropped the loaded Carrie’s for this week because I’ve got a very high physical workload on my schedule for this week. Balance of 45 minutes used for stretching/mobility and airbike+reading.

Thanks man! Yeah for sure, just a bit easier to copy/paste than go into detail every day haha I usually have 4-6 eggs and a small glass of orange juice or some oatmeal and a protein shake for breakfast. and then dinner is mostly a decent bit of meat with some veggies, sometimes in a wrap of some kind. Generally don’t eat lunch because I’m on the go at work.

The restrictions I gave myself were just that I’d cook my meals at home, not have any snacks/sweets and go easy with any sauces/cooking oils. If I did go out to eat it has to be for some sort of social event, and I’d just order some sort of meat, maybe a salad too.

So yeah not the most hardcore of diets, I’m sure 75 hard would be way harder if I was on a very restrictive diet plan, but with how physical my job is I didn’t want to run out of energy or be groggy all day from not eating enough. It’s working alright so far I’m actually down to 235lbs today, I think that’s mostly from drinking so much water and the rucking, I doubt the pound per day loss will continue once my body gets used to both those things.

Also the 4 litres of water per day is definitely good for me, think I only drank about 1.5 - 2 litres per day before. Fair bit of waking up to use the washroom at midnight though haha

Balance of 45 minutes used for mobility and airbike/reading. Also started reading while I hold a stretch, seems to help me actually stretch the muscle out for enough time, usually I get bored with stretching.

Appreciate you going into detail on this one! Sounds like a very solid way forward. I think that’s a fine “diet” for something like 75 hard.

@T3hPwnisher no problem man! Considering doing the velocity diet for the last 28 days of 75 hard, not 100% sure yet but that would really be the only change to everything I wrote before!

Indoor workout (5am)

Started work at 6:30am today, mowing my biggest commercial property, weeding garden beds then installing 6 yards of mulch. Was a lot of work for me to get through by myself but I’m happy how it all turned out.

Outdoor workout (5pm)
45 minute unloaded walk, 3km, did some dynamic/static stretches for 10 minutes about halfway through at the park by my house.

That’s where I started in October. I’m currently siting at 255 thanks to the food I’m served on the ship. I’m not sure if I could have been as disciplined as you’ve been since you started.
