Androgel + HCG - Anyone Doing This?

I am 23 year’s old and developed low T from having a testicular injury on my left testicle. The injury caused a varicocele, then atrophy and then low t in turn. My right testicle was dysfunctional since puberty.

My LH/FSH remained normal so i got the varicocele fixed in the hope of getting back size and function (i was only on TRT for about a month and it did seem to be working a bit). I waited a few months but didn’t see much improvements in the testicular department and i was suffering at the hands of low t. I had almost complete ED, little libido, low energy, etc.

I went on androgel for a month and my own HPTA didn’t shutdown. My total T went up to 26nmol but i still didn’t feel to great, something hadn’t clicked well.

I seemed to respond better to Androgel than Testim. I didn’t really like Testim much due to the smell and stickyness. Androgel seemed to absorb better and never left behind any residue on my skin. I applied to the wrists and upper biceps daily (at about 6am everyday before work).

I am now thinking about running 10g’s of Androgel daily alongside HCG at 3 times 250iu weekly (mon-wed-fri). Is it best to shot HCG at night before bed and do androgel in the early morning?

I can control aromitize using DIM or ZMA if needed. by taking one DIM at dinner time (about 5/6pm) and one ZMA in the morning to help with sperm production.

The main thing i don’t like about TRT is the ultra tight sack you get and atrophied balls (though this wasn’t due to TRT alone but varicocele). I want kid’s in the future so i want to preserve and promote fertility using whatever means possible but i need to live, work and enjoy life too.

Is anyone else here doing HCG alongside test for TRT purposes? Has anyone else used HCG after a varicocele operation?

Any advice or information would be great guy’s. I have heard HCG is great for libido and restoring testicular size (Though this might not be possible in my case).

I am going to the urologist about the same kind of sac problem…I seem to have symptoms of low t also. I am curious how you felt before HRT?For me I am generally tired and just have no intrest in things I normally love to do, there is a little more to it but I thought I would get your take on it.

Guys,

The tight sack is from the HPTA shutdown. No LH and testes shrink and the scrotum pulls up tight like a little boy’s. The only solution is HCG. Best research based dosing is 250iu SQ EOD. I had all of that and HCG resolved.

It is a QOL issue:
-Self image
-Image perceived by wife/GF
-Many on TRT report that HCG improves mood
-HCG adds your T production to your dose.
-Some feel an ache or pain 24x7 with testicular shrinkage, HCG reverses.
-If dating and mating, small testes and a pulled up scrotum may not be a winner.

Loss of LH/FST also downgrade thyroid function and HCG has LH and FST properties. You nay feel more ‘energy’ and this might be part of the mood improvement. There is a definite CNS component to HCG that, I at least, felt with my first injections.

HCG will avoid loss of fertility risks that occur with TRT alone.

Some docs do not care if your nuts fall off. Some are ignorant and some to not care. You may need to go to battle to get what you need.

(For those that do not know, HCG is a peptide (protein) hormone. Water based, so must be refrigerated after reconstitution. Inject under the skin like insulin. For women on fertility treatment, 3000iu single injections are IM. Ignore that. Inject SQ. The research on testicular function with HCG was based on SQ injections.)

Thanks for the reply ks. I am going to ask him to test my blood for low t also. I had sleep apnea and still have restless leg syndrome but thats under controll. I also have most of the classic symptoms of low t…it’s was a little embarassing till my wife asked me about it just about a week ago. She thought there was something wrong with her when I didn’t want to get busy…and when I do I don’t last that long anyways. I could go on but I won’t.

P.S. Sounds like low t can cause leg pain…wonder if it might actually be low T and not RLS.

TRT can have a lot of interesting effects. But it will be interesting if TRT affects RLS. I don’t know anything about RLS. But you might want to get tested for Thyroid hormone levels as well.

CBC w diff
total T
free T
DHEA-S
TSH
T3
T4
Estrodiol
PSA

You need a DRE as well before starting T. You might need a new doc too. Many are not into doing this right.

Thyroid testing is one of the first things they test along with iron and b12 levels, all of which I was good on.

Sorry for the thread hijack by the way.
