Police have the camera footage and wont release it for the same reason they dont release lots of evidence in open cases.

The smaller calmer bouncer has a better chance of talking him out of it, than the big aggressive bouncer who throws hands at the drop of a hat.
Also, you are treating this like iām making a direct comparison. Its an analogy for why i think the militarization of police forces correlates with a rise in violence. Not all police violence occurs from someone seeking out police (most want to get the hell away from the police). The vast majority of criminals who end up in violent situation with cops either want to get away, or are having a mental health crisis- not unlike a drunk guy at a bar. VERY few instances of folks hunting cops when you look at all violent police encounters.
How do you talk down a guy whoās there just to fight you? Youāre already dealing with a lunatic. You get a bunch of other guys and throw his ass out. What is so hard to understand about this?
If youāre the pub owner, youāre going to want to protect your employees if there are loons going there with the intent to fight them so you either hire bigger, more well trained bouncers, or give your existing ones weapons to defend themselves with.

Kicking in a door requires a search warrant or an officer witnesses a violent felony and chases a suspect into a dwelling.

Some smaller bouncers might think they have something to prove. Some bigger bouncers donāt want to hurt someone who is smaller and drunk.

A ābig aggressive bouncer who throws hands at the drop of a hatā has a good chance of seeing his guts lying on the floor, or taking a bullet outside. Big bouncers tend to be at least as calm as smaller ones, from what Iāve seen.
