Judge Halts New York City Soda Ban…

Why don’t all these vendors just have free refills? Are Free refills banned in the bill?

I will agree someone should have the ability to buy some thing in any quantity as long as it is legal. Banning a size of soda or sugary drink is so stupid. Bloomberg even uses math. “If you want 32 oz then buy 2, 16 oz cups.” So he is banning cup size and not really anything else. What a moron.

Well, like the part where he was like “this is just government telling you what is good for you” or whatever he said. He is like #13 on Forbes’ list, so when it comes to making money, I’m listening to him. When it comes to freedom and representive government he can go pound sand.

32 oz. 275 kCal Coke - Illegal
16 oz. 400 kCal Frappaccino - Legal

Hmm…, Qu’ils mangent de la brioche. I can’t wait for the revolution.

I think this is the reason that the judge over ruled the ban. It is endiscrimenent and too many loop holes. You can pick up a 20 oz Coke at the convenience store, but can not get the same soda at the deli next door.

And in other news. MD cop gives ticket for going 63 in a 65 mile an hour zone during heavy winds. Apparently in MD going less than the speed limit in the left lane is a ticketable offense…wow.

About god damn time. SHti anything under 80 in the left lane, unless it is snowing, and I’m talking blizzard.

But, I’m from MA, and as a general rule we drive like total dicks.

No wonder no one read the bill.

And my final entry for the day. No more TA for our military, awesome. Fine cut it, it doesn’t affect mission capabilities so that’s cool with me.

So when will Congress see a cut in benefits??

They will never cut their own pay. They are Civil Servants, but get paid like Civil Royalty. I guess when you go into combat your benefits are expendable because Nancy Pelosi does not like the weapons you hold. You are also the ones most targeted for control laws.

She wasn’t ticketed just for driving under the speed limit; she was ticketed for hogging the left lane. The left lane is supposed to be reserved as a passing lane in many areas.
As far as I know, that’s out of courtesy, not law. I’ll have to check. The point is it’s absurd.

Push,

This was what I found.

“(b) Special rule for slow-moving traffic.- On every roadway, except while overtaking and passing another vehicle going in the same direction or when preparing for a lawful left turn, any vehicle going 10 miles an hour or more below the applicable maximum speed limit or, if any existing conditions reasonably require a speed below that of the applicable maximum, at less than the normal speed of traffic under these conditions, shall be driven in the right-hand lane then available for traffic or as close as practicable to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway.”

She was going 2 miles under the speed limit, which appears to be well within the law to me.

Not sure about the specific stretch of road in question, but there are plenty of roads with minimum speed limits posted and even if you aren’t doing anything particularly against the law, you can be ticketed for interrupting the flow of traffic and/or wreckless driving. IMO, this makes drunk driving laws somewhat pointless.

As anyone with a learner’s permit will tell you, “Driving is a privilege.”

Looking for ways to resume tours? OK, how about announcing tours will resume and apologize for being a dick? Would that be asking too much?

Yes, you can make sure. You?re the president, for crying out loud. Walk out today and announce tours will resume. How fucking difficult is this?"

I loled.

Here we have a man that has the power to execute an American Citizen, with a remote control plane, but is bitching and moaning he can’t get the tours going again? lol, please.

Are the stories about Queen FLOTUS having two grammy winners at her birthday party true? I’m sure cutting that expense could fund the tours for a few weeks…

What about the Children? Obama must not really care about the Children.

In sadder news;

Personally, this renders all the gun issues and suggestions moot on several levels. I’ve heard discussion of the decay of society being the source for the rise in gun violence and I must say, any shooter that would shoot a man (even a criminal) in the back while he was changing a diaper certainly is sub-human scum and any group of people that wouldn’t lynch the same man for killing the baby is pretty like-minded scum.

EDIT: I’m still mad Gov. Ryan (now a convicted criminal) would put a moratorium on the death penalty. There certainly are some people for whom reform is not an option.

Even Slate ran a peice trashing his administration and Washington in general for not holding Bam to the same standards as Bush43.

Dare I say, buyer’s remorse is setting in? Nah BIGBIRD, BINDERS.
