I didn’t see or hear anything because the GOP did not shove a health care plan down the throats of the public.

It could’ve, in my opinion, instituted some market based reforms before it lost the Congress in 2006 but since then it simply did not have the power to do anything at the federal level.

You do understand that, right?

And your contention is it would’ve equaled this monstrosity?

Isn’t the current plan very similar to, if not the same, as the plan originally proposed by Nixon, implemented by Romney in Mass, and touted by the Heritage Foundation and Newt Gingrich and others back in the late 80’s and early 90’s?

ZOMG!!!

Look if political parties can’t learn from their mistakes, then I suppose you agree the Democrats are still the party of slavery and segregation then?

Also, Romney is anything but a republican. He may have run on that ticket, but he is a RINO at best.

Is that what Push is saying to Mustafa? That they had the same plan but realized the error of their ways and now don’t like it? I read it that he was saying that they hadn’t offered any garbage in the first place.

I’m asking Push if the plans are the same or similar, because if indeed they are (and admittedly I do not know every detail to either plan but have read in different places that they are more or less the same), then that would lend credence to what Mustafa is saying i.e. they are two sides of the same coin.

I don’t think any reasonable person would argue differently. Neither party cares what the people want, as long as they can lie to get votes and win from 30 second slanderous attack ads. Neither party cares about reducing government power, and neither party is going to stop lining their own pockets and vote coffers off the backs of American tax payers.

I think all Push is trying to say, is if there is any hope of the above changing course, it certainly doesn’t lie with the current incarnation of the Democrat party.

I think this is what they both are saying.

Personally, I am trying not to getting all negative on the situation. I have to have hope that we can change this country. I will fight till the day I die for this country. I am 100% behind smaller government and less taxes. Without hope there is nothing to fight for.

“Brown Pride” is ok…“White Pride” is racists.

Nor in the current incarnation of the TeaPublican Party.

Other than her being fine as hell, she has alot of guts to stand up to the status quo.

Kudos for her.

Two points.

  1. These “Ultimate Fighting” organizations are marketing juggernauts.

  2. Fighting of any sort have always been poor, immigrant sports.

These guys want to fill up the gyms in and around LA and other larger cities with as many “brown” fighters as they can.

They ain’t focusing on white kids in Mississippi or some Conservative Blogger on the internet; mainly because their ultimate color is “green”.

Maybe. Maybe not.

Where do you think it lies?

Whatever you do don’t give me some pie in the sky, abstract generality. Go out on a limb for once. A specific one. I do it all the time, it won’t hurt you. I promise.[/quote]

Within our current Political System?

The Great Wizard of Oz…

OK, Muf, I get you. You have nothing to offer. Except revolution, perhaps?

BTW, why do you bother stopping by here?

Would you had rather I said Ted Cruz?

The Wizard would make as much change as he would.

And I’ve told you before, Push…

I don’t have the temperament…and most importantly the knowledge to get into these long, philosophical and Constitutional threads and discussions like DBCooper…or SMH…or some others.

You guys have a knowledge and an understanding that I simply don’t have.

That doesn’t make me “less” of an American Citizen. I still have the right to voice my opinion, even if my knowledge has its limits.

And all this time I thought Push didn’t have a sense of humor

Let me add Thunderbolt to the list of knowledgeable people (that includes you, Push).

I learned a lot from him.

Mufasa

Does anybody really believe that 50 years from now it will have made any meaningful difference whatsoever who we elected between now and then? They’re ALL lying loathsome power hungry political whores who will sell their entire immediate family for an election. Every last one of em with a snowballs chance in hell of winning the office of town dog catcher by then. We are reaping what we’ve sown and if it weren’t so heartrendingly tragic it would be pure entertainment.

I have hope that we can change our path, but it will take something more…

I agree with your last sentence though. This is why I fight.
