I’ve been trying to learn more about muscles that cover other muscles in the body.
For example, the brachialis is below the biceps, so, it makes total sense to train that too. That will help that muscle, but also push out the biceps above it to appear bigger.
I’ve read many work out routines, I’ve had a trainer many years ago, and I go to the gym between 3-5 times a week.
It’s been very eye-opening to see what muscles do what. I’ve learned things like that in piecemeal. I am looking for more thorough knowledge.
Getting close:
I found Pietro Boselli, seems like a great job with “Exercise Anatomy”: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPem8DMLJzQPB3gzfXBoCNPlG1Wf6ByFI
Jeff Cavalier, who draws muscle outlines on his body, but I fully don’t get the sense of the the muscle layering, the ones above or below one another: Best Back Workout Video Ever (HIT EVERY MUSCLE!!) - YouTube
And this: http://tinyurl.com/z93v7kf, where I’ve learned there are five layers to the back muscles. Very eye-opening. From that, I see that hyper-extensions will work the deepest layer. Printed, it’s not very clear to read.
Then I found https://human.biodigital.com/. Super cool, you can turn on and off different layers, but I think it would take me a while to figure it all out.
The above is helping. Does anyone know a resource that puts all that together, so it’s very thorough, showing muscles worked, with layering, or transparency, maybe a checklist, showing and ensuring muscles above and below other ones are getting contracted?
