Anastrozole and Coffee

A friend of mine visited his TRT clinic today. The doctor told him not to take anastrozole within one hour of drinking coffee. He didn’t explain why. I’ve searched and haven’t found any information on this. Is there anything to it?

I’m currently taking anastrozole on the mornings after my testosterone injection. I usually take it with my coffee. Aside from the coffee issue. Is anastrozole best taken the day after testosterone, or at the same time?

Davis’s drug guide says to take anastrozole consistently with food. Side effects of the GI are nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, anorexia, constipation, diarrhea, and dry mouth. Nausea is the only COMMON one of these sides.

Since coffee is a stomach irritant and anastrozole is a stomach irritant it makes sense not to combine them. However there may be other reasons for contraindicating this interaction.

Oh, and it also says vaginal bleeding may occur lol!
