I am currently taking 60mg of raloxifene for gyno daily, and in the next few weeks plan to overlap tamoxifen with it. I have seen a lot of anecdotal reports that there is a lot of odd interferences with raloxifene(eg having caffeine while using raloxifene worsens gyno, also heard that caffeine causes gyno in the first place). I’ve researched interactions with raloxifene and nolvadex with other drugs but I am unaware of the validity of any other interactions and I am unaware of any other reactions in general. If anyone has any experience or knowledge of this sharing would be greatly appreciated:)
If caffeine caused gyno I would be walking around with a pair of double D’s. I don’t think that’s the case.
What’s the mechanism behind this? Most pre’s today have about 300-400mg of caffeine and guys are chugging them daily.
Real question is why are you overlapping Ralox & Nolva? Is one not doing it for your gyno issue?
Interested in this.
Anecdotal evidence here- but I suffer with gyno and for some time I’ve thought that I might have a link with coffee consumption. About 3 or 4 hours after I have a strong coffee I get itchy breast tissue. I have thought I was going a bit crazy with it…
Worth mentioning hyperthyroidism is linked with gyno and caffeine can increase thyroid???
Well color me blown the fuck away. There may be something to this
i have no idea what the alleged moa for the “caffeine induced gyno” would be. I heard it from a medical “professional” and I wasn’t sure what the reasoning is.
the doctor told me it was all anecdotal from patients he had seen in the past, but didn’t explain how the caffeine would have caused it. i’m going to have to give this article a read.
saying I have thyroid issues is an understatement, my current bloodwork is a mess so I decided to attack the gyno with raloxifene and see if it works, worst case scenario I’m out ninety dollars.
haven’t overlapped the tamoxifen yet, was planning on it if the raloxifene alone isn’t working good enough or quick enough. also have arimistane but not planning to use that.
It’s much better than Nolva for treating gyno, so if it’s not cutting it, I can’t imagine Nolva would be any better. Might be time to call up a surgeon
I’m on Raloxifene 60mg 5x a week, and have been for a month.
With pre existing pubertal gyno about 15 years ago worsended by using topicals, shit diet, etc and let me tell you, it’s working.
