Now that you have chosen an avatar Old Lardass, we will expect you to hie yer arse into the digital age and post video. (Ain’t that cool? I post one set and I’m empowered to instruct others.)

“Meatwinkle.” Made me laugh.

There. So I actually exist. Neener neener.[/quote]

Squat depth looks good and I agree with everything Meat said, even though I am still trying to understand it.

I am not sure that is you though, looks more like 175 than 190lber.

That’s cuz I’m dense, brah.

Chicken Wing is having the elbows back instead of down. Elbows down forces the chest up and out and gives you a stronger arch at the bottom of the squat thereby keeping the weight closer to hips. Shorter lever arm, greater likelihood of completing a max lift.

That would be hilarious if it wasn’t true!

Being from Califonia, how do you know what a Newfie is.

www.netfunny.com.

For some reason there’s a lot of old UseNet Newfie jokes there.

your bench looks solid, obviously Meat is far far more qualified for advice.

You got really good depth on your squats for lanky fellow…
somehow I was disappointed that you didn’t have shorts on over your sweats.

I need to get with the video thing, I work in TV the last thing I need when I’m off from work is a video camera I guess I need to work on that.
good work.

ps I thought I recognized you.

reference to obscure cartoon that only WE are old enough to remember, starring a flying squirrel and a moose. Our sad Canadian friends to the north have possibly never experienced a show so intelligent and sublime as “The Bullwinkle Show”.

“…and then wee keel mooos ant skwirell”

“who wants to see me pull a rabbit out of my hat??”

2-6-2009

Weight: 182

Overhead Press (Strict)
barx20
95x10
135x3
155x3
170x3,2,2,2

Pull Ups (Pronated, Med Grip)
BWx5 (to sternum)
+25x3(to sternum)
+50x3
+75 3x3

Conv. Deadlifts
135x8
225x5
315x5
405x2 (not feeling very good)

Power Cleans
205x3

Clean and Front Squat
1 Clean 4 squats ATG
1 clean 5 squats ATG

Time to start doing partial deads again. Not really feeling very motivated today. Jacked helped the first two exercises, but when deads came along, didn’t want to do them. I let myself get roped into talking with with Mr Yaksalot and my motivation just went out the window.

Need to eat something now. Think I’m still blue from the comp. It’ll pass but that in combo with a bunch of other stuff in the private life has me pretty down.

Rocky says: “That trick never works”

Bullwinkle says: “This time for sure!”

I can’t get enough…

imagine this in bullwinkle’s voice:

Hey, Skidmark, watch me pull a barbell out of my ass!

Again? That trick never works.

This time for Sure! Make sure there’s nuthin up my sleeve, and
PRESTO

[[pulls BunZilla out of nether regions]]

I still liked meatwinkle.

sometimes If I do cleans at the beginning of the workout I am fired up.
I like the pulls ups nice work.

the lame thing is tendonitis makes cleaning anything over say 185 super painful.

drown your sorrows outside it has got to be nicer outside then on your computer…

I sure know the feeling when life takes the motivation from lifting. It will pass, as you know. Still, it was good lifting.

Thanks j_willy.

Yeah - it’ll pass. Just need some more sleep and some food and it’ll all be good.

I thought this was funny in a dark, nasty sort of way…

So, you went up to 189, then dropped right back down to 182? At first I mistakenly thought that it was the weight surplus that made you so much stronger, but now I know. It’s the fact you weigh more than 15 pounds less. I think I’ll drop weight now.
