Yeah no prob…Actually a few of us from the booster thread had talked about composing a summary of sorts of all the various noops we had used, and putting that together, but the project just sort of fizzled out after not hearing back from the guy who had asked me for my personal input.

That’s something I’d like to do, and still might with BBB amongst the best in the bunch…But it is a very lengthy and probably quite laborious process, and the time isn’t there for it currently…BUt ya never know.

Peace bud.

I have been using 60/mg of prescribed adderall for adult ADD for several years. I can say that long term it creates a LOVE/HATE relationship. Hard to live with, hard to live without. It works as advertised, unbelieveable energy, more stamina, mood lifter, the best appetite suppresant and superb focus. I haven’t noticed muscle loss. You also crash hard when you stop. It sucks. As up as you were, that’s how down you will be.

For me, using long term created a strange dual personality, in that, people get used to you being “on” and really struggle to understand what is wrong with you when you are “off.” For me, this has created a somewhat unhealthy relationship with adderall. I.E. Feeling the need to take some just to be “on.” I have stopped several times, to clear my system.

(A few of those times were just to make sure that I could still stop if I wanted to.) In the end, I always end up, back on because the ADD is too frustrating without it. I have tried Provigil and did not care for it at all. It made me nautious and actually unfocused.

IMO, if you are looking for something to get you going, adderall, etc. will do it but it is probably way more than you need. You also would need to get a script. I would look elsewhere first.

I know this thread is a few months old, but this is a topic which im particularly interested in and I didn’t want to create a new thread.

A friend of mine once told me that after sniffing a rather low dose of amphetamin (rather low means not as much as one would take to party all night long and be happy), he was able to do about 60 pushups and he doesn’t even weightlift or train in any other way.

Until now I only used amphetamin “recreationally” (you know what I mean I don’t use it for medical purposes, but for partying)from time to time and it really boosts my energy.

Now to my question: Has anybody ever used speed for training purposes (e.g. in order to gain strenght, speed or endurance)?

I consider using it maybe once a week or twice a month in low doses for fat loss (in addition to a diet) and would like to know if somebody experience very bad side effects/addiction from such little use.

It has been used a hell of a lot as a PED, as as such is on the list of banned substances.

However it is addictive, highly catabolic, can lead to drug induced psychosis in certain people, will need increasingly larger doses to give the same effect and is dangerously euphoric which is related to the increased danger for addiction.

I have not used Speed in low doses, but have used it and used it a-plenty. I would not touch it with yours these days, and do not consider it worthwhile to any serious trainee.

The point is, if you are wanting more muscle, speed will not assist with this. Any performance increase it gives (and i am not denying this), it will counter any muscle gains with the catabolism it increases (stress hormones).

I have heard in it’s use during endurance events rather than anything needing strength and power, but i am sure the adrenaline release is useful for strength, although not in the long term.
Amphetamines used for endurancehis often also leads to dehydration issues and heart palpitations also.

It is a performance enhancer but is not a healthy drug, even in relatively small doses (for eg. if 1g is used to ‘party’ then a PED dose may be 1-200mg) IMO.

Even ephedrine - which feels just like a non-euphoric, bad speed - is highly addictive to many people, and they are using it for the same benefits you are looking for.
Add even more fat loss results, even more (perceived but not actual) clarity of mind, and even more euphoria, and you have a car crash waiting to happen.

I would add, IF one was to use this as a PED - it would be used during a competitive event, not for training, and most certainly not weekly!

If you want to do rec. drugs, fine… but don’t convince yourself you are doing it for muscle, performance or health.

JMO…

Totally agree. I was on Adderall for about a year. I recognized the need to be “on” and quit cold turkey. I haven’t gone back but lately my focus has been ZERO and it’s tempting.

I have taken it before training (generally in combination with a need to study, two birds with one stone) and I always have great workouts. I mean it doesn’t add significant weight to the bar but it helps me stay sharp throughout the session. I have never taken it in high doses as I see no need, no more than ~20mg.

I would imagine the dose plays a pivotal role in terns of its catabolic properties versus the benefit.

The highest I ever used to take when I was a dumb highschool kid was 40-60mg and I felt like shit later in the day.

Now if I ever take it for studying purposes (I would never take it before the gym) I use 10mg every 5 hours or so and that is more than enough for me. I feel that as I have grown older I am more in touch with my body and more sensitive to psychoactive substances.
