that seems like a very small amount of the amino acids. a scoop of Metabolic Drive or even whey will provide more at less cost. the reason they say that is so some kid won’t swallow the whole bottle.
if you want to supplement amino acids, the pure BCAAs are the rage.
I think the relative amounts can be important at times… don’t ask me how the body knows the difference, maybe they all just compete for activity when they are co-present or something simple like that.
Anyway, if they aren’t in some special formulation, then they are just tabletized food (protein). Use them when they are more convenient or accessible than real food. That’d be my first guess.
Is that even essential amino’s? It looks to me like Tryptophan is missing. Isn’t there usually a rhyme or reason to what amino’s are in a particular amino supplement?
BCAA’s = muscle amino’s
Essential amino’s = only obtainable orally

Is there a reason for that particular mix? [/quote]
What brand is the product?
Most aa tabs are simply digested whey, in which case a full spectrum would be present. But the absence of tryptophan is a little strange.
I also agree that the required dose would be obtained in a far more cost effective manner through whey hydrolysate.
