whats the pratical diference between taking liquid
amino-acids and protein (whey for example). Also can I read
this ng using outlook express?
Protein, for example, will be broken down with very high efficiency in your digestive tract to short-chain peptides mostly, and also to a smaller extent free amino acids. These are then absorbed. The short-chain peptides absorb best and also work best.
There was once an idea in bb’ing that free amino acids would be a great thing but, with
some exceptions, that isn’t so. It’s kind of silly really… if you’re eating say 200 grams of protein per day, the amount of each amino acid you’re getting from your protein just dwarfs the amount you’d be taking from capsules, so how is the capsule going to have a big effect? It won’t.
Now there’s a thing of taking specific free amino acids on an empty stomach to achieve certain (very moderate)
effects, but frankly, the damage done to your
gains by going hungry always exceeds the benefits of any such supplementation.
Mixed free amino acids are almost entirely pointless. At best, you’re just adding a drop n the bucket, and a scoop of whey protein will do at least as much, costs less, and tastes better.
