Oh, and can someone help me out with why NASCAR would be fun to watch (or worse yet, listen to)? I think it would be an absolute blast to participate in, but I just can’t see the spectator enjoyment.
Damn straight, it’s football. But then I love football, hate basketball and kinda, sorta enjoy baseball.
However, I’d like to direct everyone to the “beer” thread. Drinking beer…good way to past time….
I think it’s a tie between basketball and NASCAR. Major league baseball is in serious trouble - I agree that one more major strike and it’s over for them. I think what happened was too many baseball strikes during the Bulls golden years with Michael Jordan. NASCAR got big after the open wheel racing split between CART and the Indy Racing League that was created by the guy who runs the Speedway. Living in Indianapolis isn’t all bad. On that note also, CART’s time to live is limited - more and more teams are running the IRL this year.
