Losers. Just kidding. I spend a couple hours a day. I don’t know how one could possibly spend 12 hours on here, but hey whatever keeps ya occupied. I guess I can see Prof X arguing with ZEB for a few hours but what’s all you other guy’s excuses? ![]()
I have my own business and get annoyed when I’m reading something here and get a call from an employee or a business partner. The conversation goes something like this…“yea hello…what? Can’t you take care of that yourself? I’m real busy here right now…maybe in a couple of hours…yea yea ok ok …i gotta go…”
I too have noticed the hypnotic effect of this site.
Actually I spend up till two hours in the morning and another couple in the evening.
Always in and around my workouts and meals…

I am self employed in public accounting, and October through December there isn’t a lot of action in my office, so I’ve spent a lot of time here. Now that January is here, and I’ll be getting progressively busier until it peaks at the end of April, I’m starting to worry that I’ve forgotten how to do anything else at the office. I don’t want to work when I’m here anymore.
I probably spend 4 - 6 hours a day on here. Sweet jesus.
Can’t do it. I work for the government and we have internet nazis. They know where you go and when. I can read it at lunch, but can’t keep the site open all day.
T-Nation is open on my computer at work all the time as well. I try not to log on at home. If I don’t have the time to finish reading an article or whatever one day, I’ll “save” it for the next day, kind of have it waiting for me.
“Man, I can’t wait to get to work!”
LOL

I have actually responded to posts on here while talking to clients on the phone.
My homepage is T-Nation. I hit refresh probably a good 3-400 times a day waiting for the top 30 links to turn red again. I hate gold links. Gold links are bad.

Damn RJ, you are ate up with it.
And I thought I had a problem…
I was able to quit my main forum 1.5 weeks ago. It was harder than I had imagined.
Do not try to just reduce your forum activity, you`ll have to quit visiting a forum completly to loose your adiction.
My dad is the biggest internet Nazi in the world. In fact, he is the supreme
ruler of all internet Nazis (might as
well grow a square mustache, lol).
He keeps asking me “are you on the internet? How much longer are you going to stay on the internet? I’m shutting it off right now.” Damn him and his anti-nerd agenda, lol.
what do you guys do about your company’s IT gurus, who magically make things work/make your documents crash before you save them. Can’t they monitor your website choices, etc to make sure its ‘business appropriate’. i thought such practice was the current MO of all corps. Forgive me if i am off, by my 1 ‘big business’ experiance as an intern for an international german firm had the IT guys come after me for visiting Ducati sites to find a sweet picture of a Monster for my background…

I typically clear history, cookies, and cache frequently. I use Firefox broswer a lot now and I’ve got it set to clear all that stuff when I close my browser. Now, our company does have certain sites that are “Surf Controlled” and these sites are typically sexual in nature. It’s not a good idea to check out sexually explicit material at work anyway.
HELP!!! Somebody please stop me!
My technique of T-Nation browsing at work.
1)Start off with a minimized T-Nation homepage.
2)Shift-Enter all articles and forums you want to read.
3)Ctrl-A each page.
4)Edit - Paste Special - Unformatted Text - onto new Word Document.
5)Remove all toolbars from Word.
6)Outlook 2003 has a preview email section on the right - resize the Word document so it fits in this section. This now looks like your viewing an email.
This takes 5minutes so my Internet activity is very short and it looks like you are viewing an email.
Or you could actually send yourself an email to your work address containing T-Nation articles the night before you come in.
