Alpha's Work 3

I think most of us have experienced what TheCB is talking about. One of your workouts practically partially tore both my priformises, that was when I realized I needed to step it but and stop thinking I was a badass…or step up my glute game…

Here’s some examples of the carotid and front squats

I know a couple of times before a set, I guess I hyperventilated before the set, and it was like someone turned the switch off and back on really quick, kind of like a flash black out. Point is, pay attention to your breathing as well, as it can contribute to this, IME.

TheCB: Man, I really appreciate your kind words and telling me about your experience. The more I look into this, the more it looks like it is definitely the bar cutting off my carotid artery. Thanks you so much for what you said.

hipsr4runnin: Thank you so much! I means a lot to hear that I am helping people step up their game. That is one of the main reasons I am still doing all of this. Hopefully to help show people they are capable of more than they believe.

MattyG35: Hey brother! Good to hear from you! Yea, last night I actually sent some time on youtube checking out people passing out while doing front squats and or cleaning…Apparently I am not alone at all. I even saw one where Ben Rice almost offed himself doing them… I am really going to mess with my bar position because i know I am strong enough to hit that 500 front squat, just need to keep blood in my brain. Thanks for checking in boss.

==================================================

I have one more day of this modified DUP programming then I am changing things up again. I will write up my thoughts on the previous program soon, just need to find the time.

If you are interested in what my programming will be for the next 10 weeks, you can find it here: http://www.neversate.com/wrath/2015/1/31/new-programming-for-february or you can just head over to my site and check out the articles section. This programming is the type I love to do the most…Hopefully it will lead me to some PR’s at my next Strongman show in March.

And I just finished my 10th book out of 100 for the year: Beyond Band of Brothers, Major Dick Winters…Good read. If I keep this pace up, I will have 100 complete earlier than expected.

Excited for the new programming man! I’ve been liking the DUP, but the biceps and shoulders definitely haven’t enjoyed hitting the exact same movements all the time. Also, I got another kid from down your way…I swear there’s something in the water, must have an aquifer contaminated with radiation or something.

Bjack: We are all born tough and strong brother, I apologize!

So I think this post closes the log. We will find out, but either way, thank you all for everything! RISE! onto better things

Nah, you’ll just set a new book PR, should aim for 110 instead.
Do you still need recommendations?
If you’re not already, you should keep a list on your site that you update, maybe do an ever-so-brief review, strengths/weaknesses. Might help to catalogue what you got out of the book if you ever have re-read one or if you’re like me, forget altogether. Anyway just a thought. Stay strong!

Also, for your programming have you ever tried APRE?
I made a little printable card that I keep in my gym bag, find it handy.

No, thank you !
