Why is it that whenever someone posts a story concerning some violent or near-violent confrontation, the author’s grasp of English grammar is so poor as to render the post almost unreadable? Could it be that the OP’s poor communication skills are the underlying cause of the altercation?
Or is it, maybe, that people dumb enough to get into such a situation are also too dumb to convey their version of said situation in a coherent manner?

Dude,whats really shocking is that people,such as yourself,are overlooking the FACT that the OP’s nutty buddy ASSAULTED the “black guy.” Is that not EXCESSIVE and INAPPROPRIATE?? You want the “black guy” to take responsibility for his actions…yet you dismiss the rest of the party and their actions. Now that is what is disturbing.

It’s less inappropriate than you think, Big Boss, after someone threatened to “smoke” him.
My whole point is that bringing a gun into the situation takes this to a level it never should have been taken to and if someone died (over words btw), blame falls solely on the guy who brought a gun into it.
I need some clarification. Was this a guy who you saw regularly at the gym, who you conversed with on occasion, and even busted balls with before? Or are you saying your buddy is the one you lift with and bust balls with. Is the black dude just some random guy? Please clarify, because this makes a pretty big difference though no matter what, you acted like an idiot by being a toughguy and not diffusing the situation. If he took your humor the wrong way and got bent out of shap, guess what, it’s your responsibility to make it right. Apologise and tell him sincerely that you really didn’t mean offense and you were only trying to get a laugh out of him. Apologised by telling him to lighten up and get a sense of humor basically, which you can do to a kid you grew up with, not a guy at the gym.
Now after a sincere apology if the guy still would not let it go, and was continuing to talk more shit, you MAY be justified in saying something to him again, like “Hey buddy I already apologised, It won’t happen again can we please just drop it now” you know give him the chance to bury the hatchet, but also put him on the spot that if he is not willing to let it go, then HE is making it the problem, and now you have the right to react.
So by being a toughguy instead of a rational human being, you got you and your boy into some shit you couldn’t handle, and you got kicked out of your damn gym in the process. I would say go over that story in your head several times and see if there isn’t something there you would have done differently.
