Almost got Doctor to Prescribe Injections for TRT

I wanted to just share my little experience today with some of you guys and to make sure I don’t let someone kill me with prescriptions. So just a small background, I have potential adrenal fatigue and super low T and super low DHEA. I’ve been trying to get my doc to get me on the magic 100mg T per week, with the 250IU HGC. My current prescription is 150 mg T cream per day which has had VERY minimal effects boosting my T from 200 ish to 325.

Today he wanted to boost my T cream up to 200mg. I tried nudging my doc into going from T cream to injections because obviously this hasn’t been working great at all for me. So I ask him about injections. His response was, “Sure, so you will be taking about 1ml of 200mg/ml a day, and you will need 1 30ml vial a month.” I could feel my pupils widening as I stared at him like a doe in headlights. All I could do was ask questions about if there was a conversion rate of cream dosage into injection dosage. If 200mg shots every 2 weeks is what the normal guy coming into your office is OK with then why would I be getting 200mg shots PER DAY.

In short I lost my edge toward getting home injections by asking him to many questions about the dosage and he then insisted that we try the 200mg cream first and I didn’t even try to refute. After a short conversation about a cortisol at home test kit over a 24 hour period I requested that if we go into injections I would like to start off with “real low dosages” like 40mg every other day or 20mg a day JUST IN CASE I might not be absorbing the cream. He seemed to like that idea. Until next time however… back to the cream.

Side note, he did give me a 10,000 iu shot of HCG infused with some B12. He wanted to try me on that and test my LH to see if my body will response to the HCG. Is there any potential negative side effects vs taking 10,000 IU per week versus 250iu EOD.
