Mashy …now if i had your tat on my back it would be even better.
German was surely trying to wear me out today. Ive had a crazy week, and not much sleep. But I pulled it off.
Todays training Ramped things up !!
SQUATS 45/8 55/8 65/8 75/7 85/8
Stiff leg Deads 85/8 105/8 115/8 <— last set with straps. I sneak some chalk when i can, I really love using it, my grip feels so good.
Single leg Bulgarian back ft elevated 15/8 20/8 25/8 30/3 <— 30s with straps —>fail @ 3
Circuit 1-2 min rest btw rounds
walking lunge <–no touch 20/3x8
back ext 15s 3x8
leg curl 50 3x8 each new set i really thought about the hold and squeeze at top.
I actually broke a sweat, and Im not a big sweater.
The squats first let me say the taping is getting easier and today i put on my belt.Ladies what is your opinion on width? i know some of you do the taper…now i will say although I should have wriggled the belt lower it feels comfortable.
I did much better with getting under the bar, however a little more forward maybe. My head was down on lift off, which dropped my chest, i got it back up after being set. Honestly I was thinking about counting and my elbows…I wont do that next time, ill think more of keeping my chest up. I wasnt out of breath like last time…score!! conditioning is getting better.
Yes German I know it would be even better if I got in my 2xs a week, this week was a no go.
Overall I feel like Im making some progress and getting stronger
Wow up nice work. Your doing great, couple little things to work on that you pointed out but awesome progress since day 1. We’ll get that condo next week!!!
KMC It is nice having a direction. It was the best when I had him with me.
Im visual but also when he would tell me something to do I had the best connection when i corrected it cause i could feel how it was supposed to feel, and was easier to replicate.
Cav watch out …I am a bit competitive (mainly with myself though).

Good training going on…[/quote]
Yes thanks to German Im hitting it!! The soreness was setting in last night, but as long as i keep moving its not bad yet.
Ill have to post a pic of me a couple years ago, i was lean, very lean but felt so different. I have always envied the bigger girls → muscle ,shape, that whole pkg.I feel like I am balancing out and that is a goooood feeling.
Also i read your log and Im usually left hungry, meaning you dont eat much.Is this on purpose?

I really hear you on that…i am having a hard time making adjustments off vids for my own lifting…the real time feedback is a huge benefit
That capri pic is awesome…
Ya know UP you had a nice blend of visual, auditory and kinesthetic awareness going on. A lot of people gravitate to one or maybe two but i don’t see all 3 very often. People will let you know which they are in a hurry, visuals will keep saying show me…show me again…etc, the auditory people will constantly be asking how they are doing…tell me as i am going…kinesthetic will keep saying it doesn’t feel right, or i felt that better…etc.
I usually start with all 3 types of ques and see what people respond to but you used all 3. You would get set under bar and keep tweaking your position until it felt right, made immediate adjustments though ques and then would say that felt better. Then you would watch the tape before the next set (several times) and i could see the tape playing in your head while you were getting set up for the next set. Neat stuff.

haha. i found that interesting, too. had to go to a teaching workshop thingimie and they were trying to teach us about different learning styles, too. i remember being really very surprised that other people don’t learn the way i do. i didn’t realize there were other ways… i’m not quite sure what i am… different for different things, i guess…
It is really neat stuff and a powerful teaching tool. Saves a lot of time and energy when teaching technique thats for sure. Really good stuff when people can use all 3 pretty well, they tend to pick up stuff up really quick.
Hmm…that is interesting! I think i’d say i’m definitely kinesthetic. I like to be touched and be physically shown where things need to be and how my body should be moving. In fact, when I first started Oly, I explicitly stated to my coach “you can touch me” lol! poor guy. We’re as awkward as cousins in an Alabama barn!
But I also like to envision my lifts, particularly when it comes to Oly. Maybe that’s why strange metaphors like “be the gorilla” and “spread your cheeks” works for me. I guess that means I’m not very auditory. Not surprising since verbal cues like, “heals, HEALS!” and “Juuuump!” is nothing more than jarring to me.
