All Show and No Go

A large part of the issue that you get with outside feedback is peoples self loathing.

When a person changes their appearance, however they do so, they always get negative feedback from people because they have proven that it can be done and people who don’t want to put in the work to do it will always be bitter about that.

A this point in my life I still don’t really look like I lift but I constantly get told that if I’m not careful I will get muscle bound.

If only.

Nice work with the complexes…keep mixing them up, and great work on your training. Big exercises get big results!

I have lots of thoughts on the body issue thingy. Some men are definitely attracted to the super lean look and aren’t into their women thickening regardless of whether it’s muscle or fat. Different strokes for different folks.

Being married, it’s important to take one’s spouse’s opinion into consideration regarding physique for sure. But I don’t think that there’s even a question about whether your physique could be considered “too much.” You truly look phenomenal.

Ddot dude looking ripped in that avi, diet worked/is working!

Joe oh come on, we know your badass, does anything else even matter?!

Timmo yea it was time to spice it up, variety is key for me.

Mim girl dont grow up, its not as cracked up as they say…its MOAR

Snap geeze Ill take that! It was just sorta left field, esp cause I have been feeling so good. Sure I have a little fat on some of the muscle Ive gained (totally new to me), but I can dial it in when its bikini time, I see the dudes bulk and cut —> not that I consider me in a bulk lol
Be interested how the single leg hamstring work is coming, also if you did the same similar test with single leg quad ?

off to hammer my abs :stuck_out_tongue:

Your husband is a lucky man. Maybe you need to “strut your stuff” out in public once in a while, remind him he’s the guy with the race car, and that his peers are stuck with the jalopies…

x2 on Snap’s comment as well.

x 3 !

Punny you have a way with words…

Thanks guys !! Nice to get props even in the form of “E” friends.

I thought the avi pic was cool (yea with Git bringing it to my attention) anyway so I dont talk much about my lifting much to friends, but like I said I thought the picture showed how excited I was and I thought was kinda cool…a couple didnt even reply (I know speechless ha) and one said “hey put some shoes on”…REALLY? REALLY? Reminds me why its nice to be here, so thanks for anyone that pops in, I really value/enjoy the feedback!!

abzzzzzzzzzz

around the world hips as square as could 10lb db both arms
wood chop over head version, elbow doesnt like the side one ouch med ball 10#
standing russian twist explosive side to side med ball
squat to press MB elbows touching quad
vups x10 MB
straight leg russian twist ball hitting behind head lightly
med ball toe touch with high reach up
45 degree russian twist med ball x10 each side side—>hold out to front---->other side
med ball slam in floor lots of frustration gets worked out with this one move alone…20 slams
diagonal crunch

took about 10 min then held some moves in that vup postion fingertips behind head—>till the shaking gets almost like spasms.

then held med ball arms straight up and moved my legs like i was doing pistal squats, loved this move, felt the burn really good.

total time 2o min. obliques ridic.

Nice work. I love the complexes especially if I have short on time, can really get a lot done, and with heavy weights can be a challenge. Always end up thinking half way through a complex that “this is enough… no more!” thats when you know that you are doing them right.

Nice work Upscale! My hubby also gets a bit nervous about my training and we have come to a bit of an unspoken truce I guess. I dont talk much about it (at least I try not to :D) and it eases his fear (I guess by him forgetting about it) that I am not going to morph into the hulk! But he comes down with out to much complaint and spots me when needed becasue he knows I need to work out  I think it mostly boils down to people not understanding becasue they are not enjoying the same lifestyle, so they make strange assumptions. He doesnt like muscular women but I dont feel sexy when I am soft…ying and yang
Your not alone, I guess is what I am trying to say…keep doing what you are doing and feel good about it because when you feel good your relationship will be better off!

Feeling good about yourself is a priority.
If you feel good, you portray that and are more positive to the people around you. Especially when you feel sexier, your hubby must love the attention!

kicking serious butt in here girl. all us guys should be so lucky as to be married to you ladeez. doing this because you like it, or doing this because you can’t bear not to, is the shiznit.

continue. please.

The complexes are a sneaky way to hit that core and places that Im not even thinking about.

Hey Coyote girl thanks for stopping by!

I think he knows I couldnt get too big even if I tried. I guess he understands its my “hobby” (not my words) but gets scratching his head wondering why i put quite so much effort into it. I have gotten better about not talking ‘as’ much about it, but its hard. I have also tried to keep up better with other things so as not to have all my time spent on here or training.

Its hard to follow though (and men think we are hard to understand) one minute he is bugged i am eating so clean im not drinking or enjoying the same food- then I do that and ummm your body is changing… so bottom line is WHAT makes me happy will have to be what I fly with.

I am pretty sure this is the motto for ‘Over 35’. Just saying…

ddot well yes, yes it is!

Nurse if you say so…

training warm up lots of rolling lacrosse ball and foam, I have had to be sure to pay attention to the right side so much I dont roll the left, so made myself pay attention to the step child today before that side starts getting as tight as the other.

push press 45 2x5 55 1x5 65 2x5 70 1x1 whoa not ready to rep that bad boy, 65/5
PP wasnt really in the plan but once i got going i couldnt stop

bench 45/5 65/5 78 1x5 2x6

pause bench 65 3x5

incline bench 65/5 70/4 ummm yea good thing for safety bars and a tiny middle. 65/5

narrow bench kept it at 65

chins id do 1 and pause for 5 sec then go back up x8

Tbar row took Joes advice and used the 25s so I could have more range of motion, and Fishers db idea, which worked good till last rep when i pulled it cockeyed, probably the v handle is in my future although this wasnt bad. 45/10 55/10 55/10 thats all i had in me for that…

combo band push down 3x as many reps in 45 seconds 21,22,23 cant guarantee my form was perfect

curls 15s same as above 16,17,16

jump rope 15 sec each

jump cross over ~~~ yea it hurts just as much getting the whip in the shins as the bootie i HAD to get my lazy self jumping higher

ali shuffle ~~~ Im sure i looked more like a wet noodle then Ali

double skip yea not so much

side slalom

cross over higher this time less stopping/less pain

hip turn left

cross over ~~~~ dummy get your knees up

hip right

high knee running

double skips ~~~more like speed jumps

then tried dips, I was like a freakin deer in headlights… need to just do it, my arms were done so ill try again when im fresher, see where others put them in and I hope they dont say as
“finishers”.

This should look like a great wo but I just didnt eat enough yesterday and it showed, I was supposed to keep rests shorter, failed on this too.
