The horror! It’s not a song that can be “twerked” to!
Nice and PC to hate on Christians currently.
My heart bleeds for Taylor Swift, I’m sure she will never recover.

I’m not a believer, but your first sentence is right.
Does Taylor Swift qualify as a Christian even though? I think slut would be a better term! Always has a new boyfriend. I may just be jealous though!

Only people who acknowledge they are sick seek out a doctor.

No in the story it said she was devastated that she did not get a nomination and the Christian song did.

She is an idiot.
It would be a mistake to attribute every reaction to anti-Christianity though. I don’t give a damn if a movie is about Jesus or Mohammed or Buddha or the Beatles, but I am pretty surprised about this. Mostly because it opened in 9 theaters. [Though, given the composer’s connection to the Academy, it’s really not surprising.] Also because I find the song horribly overproduced to the point of saccharine death.
To imply that all reaction falls under the blanket of “they can’t believe a Christian song was nominated,” as the article (not you) did, is a manifestation of a simple melodramatic persecution complex.
Poor little Christians are having their rights trampled , no one buys their definition of marriage or when life begins
What you have with organized religion is an organization running around sticking it’s finger in every one’s eye it does not like and then complaining these people are out to get them .
They would like you to believe this is a war on Christ .
I have covered this before but I grew up in a religion that I went to church 6 days a week and twice on Sunday . The Jesus I grew up with healed the sick fed the hungry , Today’s Christians are against health care are against feeding the (LAZY) poor albeit via the Republican party .
IMO Christ would never align with the Republican party . This is why the So Called Christians are not liked

Then again, anyone who doesn’t see strong pervavise anti-Christian bias especially in Hollywood and the entertainment world probably forgot to take both eye patches off after playing No Eyed Bart on Halloween.[/quote]
Sure, but who cares, and more importantly, like I said, if you can’t see other reasons people would be surprised about this song being nominated–better ones–then your persecution complex is getting in the way. [The global you, not you as in Push.]
I have a related question. Are you looking forward to/would you pay to see Noah and/or Exodus?

Then he obviously wasn’t Medieval Russian Jesus.

I don’t think “hate” is an appropriate characterization of what is “PC” to do these days. It is not “PC” to hate. It IS “PC” to recognize that we live in a VERY diverse country and that there are MANY different ways of doing things and that there is not one single “right” way for “everyone”.
If Christians would stop trying to tell (legislate to) NON-Christians how to live their lives, what to do with their bodies, who they can or cannot marry/have sex with and mind their own fucking business, then there wouldn’t be much to “hate”, now would there?
Tell your own flock what to do ALL YOU WANT. They are Christian and have agreed to be controlled/follow the rules or whatever. Go ahead and try and recruit as many people as you can - THAT IS YOUR RIGHT. But it is NOT your right to legislate and and FORCE your rules down the throats of people who believe differently, AS IS THEIR RIGHT…
Modern Christian conservatives want “small government” but BIG RELIGION. What’s funny to me is that they bitch about “how oppressive” the government is, but fight so hard for their religion which is EQUALLY if not MORE oppressive! Oh the irony…

I missed the part where Christ said go forth, coerce from others, and help the poor. Christians are only told to give of themselves. Government is the exact opposite of charity.
Though I agree, he wouldn’t be republican, you need to go look at some tax records. Guys like Bush give far more than guys like Obama (who gives next to nothing). Even as far as guys like Bush live far more eco friendly than guys like Gore.
Obama is basically the LEAST charitable president in history. For someone that cares so much about the poor and hungry, he sure as hell doesn’t give much.
You really should stay away from preaching about what a Christian is and should do.

Considering that most every president has been a Christian or Catholic…I fail to see any logic in this statement.

You must be very old.

Yesterday’s Christians were clamoring for government run health-care?

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t care if the world likes me and my Christianity on its terms. Especially the entertainment industry that churns out underage-looking girls “twerking” on stage, Kardashians (sp? I don’t care), and over-valued/overpayed celebre-nobles wearing 10s of thousands of dollars worth of designer jewelery and clothing, taking their stroll down their red-carpets (oh the majesty!) into an event so that they may give each other a statue or some other bauble.
