Good to see you. We’re well and busy as are you. Training isn’t everything, but if you’re gonna compete you better get hot soon my friend!
Looking forward to updates on that front.
Good to hear from you man.
Weighed for the first time in a while today 189lbs! If this was intentional I’d have called it off long ago. Weight gain is the name of the game now but will need to keep/improve CV fitness not just get out of shape. Work to be done, lots of work.
Fuck mate, I weigh more than you.
I dislike naturally lean guys.
I would suggest super squats. There is a certain level of conditioning needed to do 20 breathing squats. And it will add mass.
I transformed myself into this from a naturally fat guy. It’s WEIRD.
@alex_uk has consistently shown his ability to follow through and accomplish ridiculous stuff. We are observing a prolonged deload. What will follow from this will be insane.
You’ll get back in no time!
I believe in you!
Same…
Loving the encouragement in here everyone, got me very excited to go again! Thanks everyone!
The comp I am looking at was August this year so hopefully will be the same again next, that gives me 8 decent months to get prepped, aiming for a minimum of 35 lbs gained by then, big ask given my bodies natural propensity for skinniness (sorry @carlbm and @dagill2!) And my consistently poor diet. Short term I don’t care about quality, only weight gain, the first 15lbs will be easy, main focus will be protein 200g per day and after that just calories - aiming for an increase in fruit and veg which will come naturally with meal prep.
Training wise I’m going to start off back with a Brian Alsruhe program just because it’s familiar and therefore removes any excuses and still excites me - plus it has a built in minimum conditioning.
After doing that for 12 weeks I’ll see how close I am to original baselines and reassess, big weaknesses for me comp wise will be deadlifts and ohp, fairly confident I can turn Ohp into a strength, deadlift I am going to do my best with and we’ll see how it looks and what can change when I know more.
Making me blush here!
That’s definitely the aim!
Awesome to see you back.
I’m 189lbs as well after many months of forced feeding!
I started years ago at 151! Which is why my body is desperate to get lighter, time to fight it! Join me on the road to 230!
Lol best luck with that, I don’t feel a need to break 200 unless its required for my 1-2-3-4 goal!
How tall are you though? Remember @alex_uk is a Cornish giant.
Definitely not, but you’ll be wanting 2/3/4/5 soon enough - then it’ll help!
Aren’t you the same/close to the same height as me?
Which to be fair it is giant by Cornish standards.
I’m 6’0" @dagill2
What’s with all these tall people around here.
Lucky you dude. My relationship with food is poor. I could get fat on lean food. And I do not eat lean.
