I’ll upload video, felt lower back lose position dropped immediately (very aware of this as my backs pretty tight right now and conventional has never felt good there). 60 and 100 felt awful, 120 started to feel better and 140 & 160 ok - vids of 160 and 180 to follow.
Trap bar: 68, 108, 128kg X 5, 148, 168, 188, 208kg X 1
Top two sets felt harder than I’d have liked. Vid to follow.
Axle ohp: 21, 41, 51 kg X 5, 61, 71kg X 1, 81kg X f, push press in anger, rack, moment of angry musing 3 more PP and a fail. Awkward bar.

TBDL: 128kg X 5
S/s axle ohp: 41kg X 5
Got to set 8 and had to pause the timer, didn’t time last two sets but got them done.
BB Poundstones: 102
Got to 70 without any break then 22, 10 (not letting go of bar).

As soon as I get enough motivation to get out of my truck and walk into the gym, I’m gonna give these poundstone curls a go. Gonna have to use an ezcurl bar though as I can’t curl a BB. Y’all are making these things sound so fun

Did you switch to trap bar after? Maybe trap bar is the way to go for you.
Strength was definitely not the problem, just cautious about my back. I realised that I didn’t feel any of those deads in my hammies, not sure I got my hinging right.
I’m happy to keep TBDL in there (can cheat my way to my goal of 250kg by the end of the year by doing it high handle TB) - but for strongman purposes I need to figure out how to convo without blowing up lower back.
