Yup, I use the term without a gender label attached, dude, mate, buddy, guys, are all nonspecific when I use them! I mostly use these in real life because I forget everyone’s names!
I’m a positive man, I love the word yes, would struggle to train no’s!
But yea bis and tris are still well on the agenda. Although time to train in general is squeezed big time right now, not sure if I’ll get more than 2 per week again this week.
Oh no you’re in the next category again, you need to be just doing tai chi in the parks and going for gentle strolls.
Honestly, that’s about what I have been doing the past few months.
Today’s work:
Ssb:
Bar, 60, 80, 100, 120, 130kg X 5
Dropped back squat because my hips and knees still aren’t great, so doing ssb narrow stance (for me), holy crap doesn’t look like I ever use my quads for squats, my legs immediately are on fire! Probably could have hit up 140kg today but my backs not 100% at the moment either so playing the long game.
Giant set:
Floor to overhead: 40, 50, 60, 70jg X 5, 80kg X 3
Ng chins: 7 X 5 sets
kB swings: 24kg X 7 X 5 sets
Not calling that floor to oh anything technical, because it was a mix of everything anyway to get it overhead (think it was roughly strict pressing until 2nd rep of 60kg).
Start of something a bit more SM focus, totally meant to use my football bar (axle size with smooth handles) but forgot and used my standard bar. First giant set in a while, not surprisingly first time I’ve been dripping sweat in a while…
Lower back has been cranky for a couple of days I think it’s sitting on a bar stool 8 hours a day for work, switched to desk and chair today, see how that goes - might get a massage to help it on the way.
Cannot believe how hard ssb was on my legs, I’d forgotten the torture of that, will probably keep that in rotation instead of back squats for a couple of “cycles” (I say it like that because I’m still not entirely sure what I’m doing or how much time I’ve got to train for a while, so playing it by ear, but probably rotate stuff in 6 week ish blocks running up to daily 5/3/1 RM alternating a la dark horse).

World’s worst video showing almost nothing of the lift and sideways: my floor to overhead, cleans were what limited me, had plenty left in the press, mostly just gassed out.
Funny enough where I’m working today is right by a gym. They have 4 atlas stones out by the curb. I started to go asknif they were junk/trash and if I could have them. Then I was like… how am I going to pick these up? And what in the world would I do with them lol
That looked real easy strength wise man, good lifting.
Strange lifting music… I give the package jiggle 7/10, could be better. 4/10 for tiny plates. 3/10 for the amount of clothes in lifting video.

Low roof, can’t use the big ones! Going to look stupid at 95kg, and that’s the limit, might have to move outside for the 100kg sets… Which are coming!

Axle (scaffold weights 8.5kg) arrived so despite having very little time;
Axle bench (3s): 48.5kg, 58.5kg, 68.5kg, 78.5kg, 88.5kg, 98.5kg, 108.5kg, 118.5kg X 3
Well that was a lot of fun and actually felt better than barbell benching for the most part - felt it more in my chest than bench, definitely a great piece of kit!
Poundstones with the axle: 21kg X 70, 20, 10
Well if bench felt better, poundstones felt 100x harder, had to rest pause from 70 onward couldn’t hold that sucker anymore. Looking forward to reaching 100 reps without putting this thing down!
