Conveniently enough I bought a 5kg bag of rice the other day, I reckon that’s I could probably do it inside the bag, just extending and flexing the fingers?

Weirdly enough I think rubber bands is the one thing I don’t have lying about the house!

Next time you buy asparagus you get rubber bands

Here’s a quick video showing a dude use a dummbell, a band and the end of the barbell to make a wrist roller. A kettlebell would hang even easier. Maybe put some weight on the other side of the barbell so nothing tips over.

Perfect thanks!

Haha you haven’t been following the nutrition side of my log!

Recently came here mate

Just get them once to not have to shell out special for something as remedial as bands.

I have a Meadows diet bulking plan that includes asparagus spears so…

Fair enough, I eat like a small child left alone in a sweet shop. I do however like asparagus, will try to remember to buy some next time I’m out!

But where’s the fun of that? The fancy smancy one ain’t but $9. And looks cooler!
Push ups are free!

Hmm I’ll have to buy a fair bit of asparagus for that!

True and on that reminder I just did a very controlled set of 10 slow negative, touch nose explode up, use palms flat as I assume that’s going to give the best stretch

I mean, that’s cool and all, but climbing is more fun.

I also just tried the banded jumping jacks and they seem like an awesome warm up/conditioning tool, even though I tried them with a band that’s very clearly too strong for me to do them properly. Seriously debating ordering a lighter band specifically for these.

Haha yes climbing is definitely more fun and something I’d be enthusiastic to pick up but given how little free time I already have, if I pick up a new hobby I might end up single! Funnily enough my next door neighbour is a climbing and trekking instructor, I’ve yet to take him up on his offer to take me, one day!

Yea I definitely wouldn’t do anything too heavy band wise on JJ’s, but it is a great little exercise for just increasing heart rate, and most enjoyable - it’s not a burpee!

I have an extensive list of hobbies that I foolishly believe I’ll have time for one day, so I definitely feel you there. How old are the little ones, if you don’t mind me asking?

I only have one strength of bands, unfortunately, and they’re the super manly purple ones. They’re awesome for band pull aparts and tricep pushdowns, but I’m too weak to do jumping Jack’s with them.

They’re 10 and 7, I think I’m going to start doing some sort of martial art with them once the covid stuff clears up - something I’ve wanted to take up but never got into - think I can squeeze one more thing in if I take the kids with me haha.

I have a set of red blue green and black bands, useful (apart from the black, not sure why I got those haha), one of my reds got a big cut in it so ditched it, fortunately I still have one for the JJs really not something I’d imagine loading heavy - even if I could…

Yesterday’s eating was interrupted at 2.8k cals by nausea and some unpleasantness in the toilet. Unfortunately I didn’t get far protein wise yesterday either haha.

Weight: hmm scales are being indecisive - probably no change though.

Also something on my list. But it is quite a long list. I think that would be an awesome thing to give your kids an introduction to.

Your kids are quite a bit younger than mine from memory? Not sure when is an optimal time to start martial arts with kids, probably fairly young?
